My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights. First I want to point out that Mohammed was absolutely exceptional and took really good care of us. He was there all the time and basically read our minds - excellent job. So this review is not about the service but more about the place itself. We stayed at other places... More

Immediately on arrival we felt more welcome than anywhere we have stayed. The location of dar tassa is divine/stunning and it was an absolute privelage to spend time there. All staff at dar tassa were exceptional, the cuisine was perfection and we loved that we were able to do a Moroccan cooking lesson, and the incredible trek through the atlas... More

Our visit to Morocco was a short notice, short break... we were hardly prepared for the very special experience that was Dar Tassa. From the moment we left the taxi in the dark, at the end of an unmarked mountain track and stumbled into a delightful, candlelit welcome of fresh dates, milk and beautiful smiles, we knew this was something... We arrived in torrential rain having driven out of the desert and over the Atlas Mountains in 5 Land Rovers, 4 of them more than 40 years old. We were greeted as usual by Mohammed and his manager armed with umbrellas and after a traditional Berber welcome of dates and milk, followed by mint tea we proceeded to do.....well hardly... More

We stayed at Dar Tassa for two nights at the end of a demanding four-day trek in the High Atlas Mountains - having a bath was wonderful! The welcome and atmosphere were very warm. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with lots of attention to detail e.g.hot water bottles on offer! We ate well and were then introduced to the delights of the tea ceremony. The staff were very sincere in their endeavours to provide us with a true Berber experience.

A beautiful spot, but seriously overpriced- food is fine, but unexceptional, decor is a bit grim, staff quite pleasant. I've stayed in hotels all over Morocco and the owner is over-reaching with his prices.
