My boyfriend loved our stay in Rodanthe! We had a waterfront campsite situated between 2 RV's so it actually felt a little more private than we thought... most of the camp sites are very close and open, however there are a few by the old cemetery and behind the bathhouses that are more secluded. It's definitely windy on the water...

Rodanthe Watersports is the #1 WATERFRONT Campground in the OBX! Tent camping on the sound with the most amazing view, especially sunset! make sure to bring your camera! The Ocean is a hop skip and a jump if you want to surf the waves. The sound is perfect for kids, kayaking, paddleboarding, and my favorite Wave Riding!!! The Jetski was...

This is a great little camping spot on the sound. The campsite is clean, the views are scenic, the staff polite, and it has all the facilities you'd want in a site. The only downside is that it's a small campground so the sites are pretty close. That said, the crowd here has been quiet and noise/privacy have not been...

most scenic sunrises/sunset views from the sound. Sites close together, but that didn't matter. Fun wading(?) around the sound side . nice breezes kept the bugs away, but you have to make sure your tent is staked down real well, or else it acts like a sail! Can rent canoes and such on site. Would definitely camp here again!

For the money, don't think you can beat it. We, unfortunately were given a side site (next to the cematary), which was ridden with bugs, due to all the foilage behind it. We were eaten alive. The waterfront sites may be less buggy. Showers (outside) I preferred. Could stand a little updating, but definately good for the money

We have a tiny teardrop and just pulled in and took a chance this place would have space. Even though they set us up with a side site, they came to get us to let us move up to the waterfront when someone left. It is a small campground and that's what we love about it. I've seen the sea...

Let me start off by saying this place has a beautiful waterfront view!! But, while beautiful, was very windy for a tent. An RV would have been fine. I think that they should reiterate constantly on their website, over they phone while making a reservation, etc that 20mph winds for a tent on the waterfront means you better have some...

First off lemme say, it's a strange concept that campgrounds would have so many RV spaces, the part of the country I'm from it would be called an RV park, so finding actual good tent camping was impossible to do when visiting the outer banks during off season. Seems like once the national parks open they have good options too....

Friendly owner, adequate bath facilities. It is handy to area activities and reasonably priced. There are bigger better csmpgrounds in the area but we really enjoyed the small community feel. We have an Aliner which was easy to maneuver but there were also large 5th wheels in there.

This is a nice campsite, some limited campground is facing the ocean, give you magnificent view. Be warned that it could be very windy on some day, so make sure you have a steady tent that can survive the strong wind. RV don't have this issue. The electric port is quite far away from the picnic table, so make sure...
