We rented out the entire main Lodge as well as nearby trillium cabin for a large family reunion. We had ample room for family dinner and game night and dispite my room being right next to the living room, my 1 year old was able to sleep while we got roudy in the next room. Beds were comfortable and showers were amazing especially considering the size of the facility. On site laundry was a god send. Large commercial kitchen was great for storing and preparing large amounts of food for 30+. It is a little bit of a walk to the lake but not impossible and you can always drive and park. The pergola and fire pit were great for winding down in the evening. Fished, paddled and swam all week. Wifi is a little slow and cell service isn't the best but if that's what your looking for this isn't the rental or destination for you. For a large gathering to enjoy scenery, nature and good company you cannot beat the Blue Boar In.

This place is SPACIOUS! We had all our children and grandchildren for our bi-annual vacation. 12 adults and 11 babies & children under 9 yrs old. We loved our rooms! Each room has a private bathroom and back porch! The living room was so big that we all were able to sit around and visit, play games etc... The dining room fit all 23 of us easily. We did crafts each day in there with room to spare. The Kitchen is to die for if you like to cook! Plenty of cookware and dishes to feed an army. Even a warmer! We didn't lack for fridge space either since there is one large professional catering fridge and 2 other large refrigerators. We loved the outdoor space! We had a camp fire each night and sang and played games with the kids. Plenty of outdoor furniture for everyone. Being close to Lake Santeetlah was the best! The lake is clear as pool water! We swam, kayaked and canoed which the Blue Boar Inn provided. We rented a boat from these great people (Deyton Boat rentals) for 2 days and took turns riding, swimming and tubing in the middle of the lake. We dreaded for our vacation to end! This place feels very secluded and is a perfect place for a family gathering. Pamela, the owner is very helpful and easy to talk to. When we first arrived a storm had hit and the power was out. Pamela made sure that a generator was hooked up so that we would have some cool air and fridges running until it came back on. I could go on and on about how much we loved the Blue Boar Inn! We have never rented a place that accommodated us so well with our size family.

We got married at the Blue Boar this past June. We'd never been to the Blue Boar before, but took a chance and, boy, were we ever satisfied. The property looks just like the photographs - maybe even better. Everything was spotless, the place smelled fresh and clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen and outdoor areas were outfitted with everything we needed. The owner met us when we moved in and was so kind and helpful. It was quiet, the roads to get there were well-maintained. We had children and elderly folks with us and they had no trouble navigating the paths, stairs, or bathrooms. For folks seeking an escape from summer heat, it got warm outside in the sun, but the shade offered significant relief and the nights were lovely and cool. Also, we had our wedding dinner in the dining room which easily accommodated all sixteen of us. If you have a big group and just want to do your own thing, this is the perfect spot for you and yours.

We are five kids with five spouses and many kids ages 2-35 that get together every other year. We have been to Lake Norris and Pigeon Forge, and both had their charms, but the Blue Boar Inn on Lake Santeetlah has been our best experience yet. The eight suites are laid out well and separate the kid zone (TV/gaming) from the living room. The dining area is huge and right off the kitchen, making cooking for 24 and serving them easy. The inn is tastefully decorated and clean but is beginning to show some wear, but that was never a detractor. Where the Blue Boar shines is outside. Mornings on the covered deck with the prominent sound of the brook for meditation and reading background was exquisite. The fire pit at night added a special touch to after dinner conversation. The walk to the pier is more than we had expected, but the privacy it provided was well worth it. The gem of our vacation was Lake Santeetlah. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and took it out every day, found a quiet spot, and dove in. The water is cool, clear, and clean. When we felt adventurous we found a bridge to jump off. A downside was not being able to rent jet skis from the one marina that did so. We were unable to understand the backstory between the two businesses and didn't care to deal with it. Pamela was a terrific hostess, always available when needed. She ensured the inn was well stocked, we had all the information about the area we asked for, and even had a handyman at the house within five minutes when there was a power outage in the area. Most impressive was her willingness to mail items that were left in the house. The two year old makes a game of hiding keys and she was nice enough to drop them in the mail. Two weeks later, when we had realized we left valuable kitchen ware, she took the time to mail that to us also. Pam's graciousness exceeded expectations.

This is such a wonderful find ....we went to a birthday celebration so our whole group of friends could be together ,cook, drink and have some fun on the lake . We rented a few pontoon boats ,everyone brought plenty of food to cook and munch on . This is located in a dry county so BYOB. The kitchen is beyond fully equipped and have everything a gourmet chef could want ,right down to china ,wine ,champagne glasses etc... Plenty of refrigeration space and freezers as well as a good ice machine . The inn is 7000 sq ft and has fantastic bedroom suites with private baths, and porches . The rear garden has an amazing fountain pond with a babbling creek and a great outdoor covered seating area and fire pit, grill . Perfect for family, friend, church,or motor cycle club ( the dragons tail is in the back hard practically !) We all agreed its a must do again next year or in the fall...great place And Kudos to the owner ...well done and have no negatives. Keep up the great work ...see y'all soon .
