Host and food where fantastic. Very nice lodge in the mountains about 15 minutes from Ashville. We went in October and apparently the lady bugs raid the area around this time of year. Could not sit outside on the decks and many lady bugs would get into the rooms. Recommend going, but ask if it lady bug season, I'd work and stay around them.

We had a delightful time at Blue Waters Mountain Lodge. Our accommodations were wonderful. The hosts were gracious and helpful. The meals were excellent. Exploring the local area, as well as Lake Santeetlah, with it’s quiet solitude and amazing beauty was delightful.

We found BWML years ago as we searched for a quiet, mountain respite. We’ve been back almost a dozen times, bringing friends with us every time. The Stewart’s know how to spoil us with peace, cleanliness and delicious breakfasts (OMG... the SCONES!). Dinner is always a treat. Follow them on Instagram....you’ll see all sorts of beautiful postings or the lodge and surrounding area.

We just got back from another anniversary trip to the mountains, and I have to say this has been by far our favorite place to stay. Mike & Maury were outstanding, and went above and beyond what you would expect with any inkeepers. The breakfast and dinners were great. We even got to know a few of the other couples staying and all hung out in the main room Saturday night. If you want a relaxing, peaceful place, this is it. The rooms and beds were cozy, we opened the windows for that fresh mountain air at night. The lake and setting are beautiful.

We visited Blue Water for three nights. Highly recommended and Blue Water did not disappoint. We started Friday night with dinner overlooking the lake. Food and service were outstanding. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is to die for with homemade scones which are famous. We were riding the motorcycles and this is a perfect location in the heart of this famous bike riding region (did the Dragon eight times). But I was most impressed with the beauty surrounding Blue Water, the view overlooking the lake, with lots of site seeing, fishing and hiking in the near vicinity. The best part are the hosts which were very friendly and helpful. Definitely 5 stars!!
