We stayed again this year at the Snowbird Mountain Lodge, for our fourth year. It was a lovely stay, and the food was excellent. Although we usually prefer the peaceful joys of hiking the vast trail system surrounding the property, it wasn't an option this year, so we visited some of the local artisans. Yellow Branch Pottery and Cheese was...

My wife and I spent three wonderful days and nights enjoying the beauty of the Joyce Kilmer national forest and the wonderful hospitality of the folks at Snowbird Lodge. Quiet and restful, we enjoyed the large fireplace in the den, the delicious meals, and the walking trails. We both read a book from the extensive library and especially enjoyed the...

This is our new favorite get away. Nestled in western NC mountains, Snowbird is just stunning. There is so much beauty, the food is outstanding and the accomodations are perfect. If you want to sit, rest and refresh, this is the place. If you want to hike, bike and canoe...this is the place. We LOVE that meals are included and...

A great place to relax, enjoy nature or sit outside and take in the amazing view. We have been going to Snowbird for over 10 years and it gets better and better. The staff is hospitable and genuine; the accommodations are fantastic; the food is excellent; and the hiking trails are close by where there is something for everyone. I...

We were at Snowbird for Valentine's weekend. Everything was as good as ever if not better. Robert continues to be a most worthy steward of this treasure of a spot. We first went to Snowbird in 1997 and although Robert has added to the facility over the years he has maintained the original charm of the place.

Hi, all. I've been to Snowbird a few times, and this last week was one of the most amazing, as I got caught in the snow. A winter trip to the mountains, what a treat! And one of the best things - while we had almost 8 inches of the fluffy while I was there, I did NOT get snowed...

This was perhaps one of the most relaxing weekends of my life. The scenery was idyllic, the hospitality was generous, the food was tasty, the wine selection broad, the library large and diverse. The large roaring fire kept was warm, the constant wine and tea service was enhanced by cookies late in the afternoon. The rooms were cozy, and we...

Regrets to all who missed the wine dinner this past Saturday night. The food was as good as it gets, the wine was even better. Snow, a warm fire in the library, and the best guests we have yet to encounter. As usual Robert and the staff provided superb service. Do yourself a favor and get there as quick as...

I kind of hate to do this because I want to keep it too myself. I see reservations hard to get in the future. But, Snowbird is by far one of the best places I have every stayed and I have traveled all over the world. You can relax here in peace and quiet with out the distraction of televisions...

Did some hiking( even tho it was cold, it was nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air), read by the warm fire in the lodge and enjoyed Butch's expertise preparing our drinks in...
