I have never been so cold in all my life! Windows do not close and the heating doesn't work! Can't call down to reception as nobody there and the emergency number nobody answers! Sleeping with my jacket on is not on!

Stayed for a birthday function in family room which was a good size with tv. Room was warm, clean, with plenty of mini soaps/shampoos plus tea/coffee. staff were super attentive from assisting with alternate parking space as car park was full, offering to carry up luggage, overall polite and respectful and gave a great Full English breakfast. Have stayed in...

Good looking hotel from outside and really excellent front of house reception staff..However the hotel itself is looking tired inside .We stayed in a very small room with no air-conditioning (seems to be the same through out the hotel)..Bed was clean and comfortable however bathroom was very small and badly in need of updating. We also found previously used soap...

We stayed here for NYE after hearing that it may be haunted (we love a bit of the supernatural). When we arrived at the hotel it was completely deserted with no one on reception and no one answering the buzzer for attention...to us it was quite exciting as it set the mood for a creepy night but I can imagine...

Stayed for one night. The public areas are tired and in desperate need of renovation. they were also cold.Signs saying "drug use will not be tolerated did not help the ambiance and I have never seen this before. The breakfast was basic. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Despite all this the rooms were reasonable and clean. There is WIFI. The TVs...

This is probably about the worst hotel I have stayed in. Not for service, they guy on the front desk was lovely. Not for the room, though it was incredibly tired and in desperate need of updating. But the flippin' trains!!!! I stay in Reading once a week and had forgotten to book a hotel and ended up here. Had...

Stayed one night (in the area for a wedding), room was small but v. clean and comfortable and well furnished. Hotel is charming and full of character, friendly, helpful staff. Did not eat at hotel so cannot comment. Pangbourne very pretty little town on the Thames.

Located in the centre of Pangbourne a short stroll from the train station, I found it very clean and comfortable with easy check in/out and nice clean rooms. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was good too. There is some noise from passing trains but it is not that bad and I would stay there again if...

We stayed for 2 nights in room 3, bank holiday weekend. Our room was lovely and quirky as part of the old part of the hotel with beams and sloping floor. Nicely furnished and clean. The comfiest hotel bed I've slept in for a while. Couldn't make the shower work and shaving light not working in bathroom but reported to...

Very friendly staff, bedroom was very small and quite expensive for the two nights there! We had food on the first night which was terrible..never ever get the homemade chicken curry! Train noise is pretty bad we had to close the window to block. If we got a different room I might consider coming back?!
