What a disappointment! The units we stayed in (SandCastle) was not the one in the online pictures (probably Windjammer). The unit had not been updated in any way in 40 years. The staff was apologetic and said that they understood our disappointment. If we had somewhere else to go, we would have left. The property also has abandoned, vacant buildings on it tha take away from the atmosphere. We voiced our concerns to Wyndham and are awaiting a decision on having our points refunded. If you are used to the level of a Wyndham resort, DO NOT stay here.

We stayed here for one night taking advantage of our Wyndham points so we could explore nearby New Bern, NC. The suite was old, run down and smelled of mildew. The outside deck had rotting and loose decking planks and it seemed no effort was made to clean any outside parts of the stand-alone unit, including the entrance. Big disappointment. Won’t return.

No no no! Had to ask for garbage bags! Ants and roaches in the guest bathroom .Rather rude treatment when we complained . Dirty laundry room and balconies. Broken lock on master bedroom balcony door. Not what I'm used to from Wyndham. Made the best of it by going out of the unit as often as possible. Will not be back.

What a dump. We had dirty towels hanging on back of bathroom door and in the closet. Missing remote control for TV, the blinds were missing pieces allowing light in the room, carpet was stained, tiles on counter falling off, floor tiles replaced, sunlight shining through the front door. Worst property we have ever stayed at. Pool was nice area. I can't believe that Wyndham is affiliated with this place.

We were a little concerned about checking in after we read mixed reviews. We were pleasantly surprised however. We stayed in the Fairway Villas 26AB. It was clean and well maintained, The only comment was the faucet on the sink needs to be replaced.
The staff has been friendly and helpful. Our view was very nice. The units are older so they are not modern but the furnishings are not worn. The drive into town is about 15 minutes.

My wife is currently there to visit family that underwent surgery. Regular key card issues locked her sporadically out of her unit then on 11/5 the unit she was in had no water. Kept getting runaround on it coming back on and then moved units on 11/6 after 24 hours without running water. On 11/7 her new unit along with many others had notices from the water company that water was shutoff due to not paying the water bill. They were also taking the notices from the water company off the doors.

Thank you for your review. I am truly sorry to hear your stay was not well. There are two management groups here at the Resort, therefore I am wondering which one you were booked with? Vacation Resort Internationals (VRI) office is located at 1141 Broad Creek Rd and Resort Management Groups (RMG) office is located at 475 Broad Creek Rd. Each management group manages different properties at the Resort. Knowing which management group, and unit type you were booked with helps to improve issues found during your stay. Thank you.

Older resort but kept up well. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing was the living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. There were no high pressure sales pitches like some resorts we have been to. Beautiful area with a lot of cool things to do. Sara's Big apple, Morgan's Tavern and grill have really good food. Drove to Beaufort to take a boat tour to see the wild horses and dolphins only an hour away.

We stayed in The Windjammer Area and just loved it. Our screened in porch was such a joy to have coffee watching the sunrise and looking for "Charlie" the alligator ( I believe his name was). I did get a pix of him but he had slipped back into the water and looked like a log floating. The activities were great and the gymnastics we always looked forward to in the warm morning and meeting others. Ice Cream social, T shirt makings and Karaoke was always an option too.. We are definitely planning on another trip down to New Bern and staying there. Now we have lots of friends to see again. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Club Wyndham should be ashamed to offer this filth! Upon arrival units were cute and different! Extremely outdated which I could have dealt with UNTIL there were live roaches crawling up walls and dead bugs everywhere! Left as quick as we got there and ended up paying out of pocket to stay in a hotel for our vacation we had booked…..

Convenient in that it’s close to New Bern but so disappointing inside. Booked through Club Wyndham - Old furniture and an even older carpet made for an interesting scent. And we couldn’t leave the sliding doors open to air it out because both screens were ripped. After spending a night out we came home to realize the lock on the unit didn’t work. Outside areas of the unit weren’t clean at all. We were booked for two nights but left after the first.
