I am now on a mission when it comes to Pet Friendly lodging. My wife and I traveled the Blue Ridge Pkwy (great trip) with our dog (actually it is a Cavalier King Charles, so not really a dog) and needed Pet Friendly along the way. Researching through TripAdvisor for Pet Friendly and finding hotels, of which, none of them indicate the "pet fee". So when you get to the lodging, tired and lost, they make it up on the spot. But I digress. We chose Hearth and Home for the location, price and Pet Friendly ($25 fee). When we arrived, the owner had given our Pet room to another customer, but found a substitute room. The room was clean, everything looked new but the smell of mustiness was overwhelming. We had to keep the air conditioning on and the door open most of the time for relief.

I stayed here along with 3 others for 5 days while riding in the mountain's. The owner is very friendly and went out of his way to take care of an issue a fellow rider had with their room. I had no issues with my room. Clean rooms and was able to park my bike right outside my room door.

Updated with a very accommodating owner. He was friendly and funny. Very convenient to the parkway, shopping and eating. We will stay there again. It was packed for no bigger than it was. Not many amenities but great for traveling on a budget.

Stayed here last year for Slingshots in the Smokies and could not have been more satisfied. Clean, comfortable rooms and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. So happy we set up a reservation for this year when we checked out. This year is the same: treated like family, clean and comfortable rooms and a price that can't be beat. We actually looked forward to staying here again and will for as long as Allen will have us!

I used Trip Advisor to book room (First Time). I went to a convention but the 'host' hotel does not accept pets so I wanted the closest pet friendly lodging and Trip Advisor listed this one just 1/4 mile from the convention center and on impulse I clicked to book it. No disappointment. The room was large and clean. My little pooch liked it. The owner/operator was very friendly (and he was doing all the work required at the Inn). The negatives first: Hmmm, how picky should I be ? Okay, the mattresses were not the best (but then I'd expect to pay a lot more). The TV was old school big box ( more in character with Maggie Valley ambiance than a negative). The lawn was in need of mowing (but I'm glad the owner chose room cleanliness as a priority). The positives: As stated, the

Hey, thank you for choosing our little place here in beautiful Maggie Valley. My family and I work very hard to give you a great place to stay. We are thrilled you had a great time. Not bad for a place only open 7 months of the year. We do have some updates planned for this season. Stay tuned. It only gets better. (-: I just had a conversation with my yard man today...he is waiting for a dry day and low traffic to mow again. I enjoyed visiting with you and hope you enjoy that Corvette some more before you park it again.
