We stopped here during our 10 day, 500 mile meander down the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is very conveniently located right off the parkway, so the location could not have been more perfect for us. We had a room overlooking mountains and valleys, and we were able to watch the beautiful mountain sunrise right from our bed! The homemade granola...

Alpine Inn is Heaven. The views are breaathtaking of the Mountains. The Sunrises and Sunsets are Amazing. No TV, No Cell Service, NO PROBLEM! You will not miss it, in fact you will enjoy that very much, I promise. There is wifi. Friendly people. Clean. Relaxing environment. I Loved it and will return again and again.

We discovered The Alpine Inn in the early 90's while our son was a student at Appalachian State. A minute from the Blue Ridge Parkway, it literally hangs on the edge of a mountain. The views are spectacular all along the Parkway, but what sets the Alpine Inn apart is the hospitality of the innkeepers who are friendly and super...

We had a long wonderful weekend in late August 2016. Beautiful views from room #2. Room clean, simple, and quaint. Breakfast from the balcony in the morning was great. Owners friendly and helpful about area attractions. Bedding comfortable. Expect that we will be back again.

My first trip to the Alpine Inn was in 2004 and since then I have always had a great experience at this property. The views from your room are amazing. I enjoy watching the sunrise and the close access to the Blue ridge Parkway.

What a view! The biggest thing about this place....plus the innkeepers were very very friendly and accommodating. This building is on the side of a mountain under the overhang of trees. A great view. Bird feeders off the little porch where most people just sit and enjoy the view. (breakfast is served out there too). All kind of birds flying...

We stayed in the mountain room. It's like a mountain apartment with enough space for 4 adults. Very nice, clean and charming with mountain views in the clouds. Ron and Susan are very nice innkeepers and love what they do, they are pleasant to be around. Little Switzerland is little but holds lots for character and friendly people. We plan...

Ron and Susan are friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. They went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay, including letting us use his jeep to get to dinner up the hill. The rooms are modest, clean, and nice. Lots of character and charm. The views are spectacular. We really enjoyed our stay and will go back.

Clean rooms, excellent view and fantastic Inn keepers. Can't wait to go back! First time that I have stayed at a hotel and didn't even think to ask for the WiFi password. Too beautiful to plug in... best sleep I have had in years.

Bicycling the Parkway with my son. We just needed somewhere to shower and sleep but we got so much more. Ron and Susan are the best. What a view! What a breakfast! Homemade breads and fresh fruits. Ron even lent us his Jeep to get to dinner. You won't get that just anywhere. My son said it was his favorite...
