My husband and I needed to escape to the cool NC mountains during a hot August in SC and randomly found Lake Toxaway and the Cabins at Seven Foxes while searching for places to stay on the internet. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and charming setting. The cabin was decorated adorably (especially since squirrels are one of...

I had never been to this area before, and not only is it a beautiful location, the cabins were immaculate and very accomodating. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, so it was an easy check in/check out process. I would definitely go back!

We have stayed here twice, once in Bear Cave with our daughter and later in Raccoon Loft with our son and daughter. The location is great and the surprises hidden around the property are a lot of fun. The property is dog friendly and Linda, the manager thoughtfully provides treats for your furry child. The cabins are clean and cozy...

We traveled to Lake Toxaway to attend a wedding. Our initial intent was to rent a home on the lake but learned that the 3-night minimum is standard in the area. After searching a few of the local hotels, it became clear that there isn't much available. We stumbled upon the 7-Foxes by doing a Google search and were so...

I only got to spend 2 nights at Seven Foxes but would definitely go back and, would fight the bear to stay in Bear Cave cabin again! The complex is small, well kept, on a beautiful piece of the mountains which is quiet but easy to get to. The cabin was small, but cozy and comfortable with every amenity. Beds...

Our children gave us a 2 night stay at The Cabins at Seven Foxes for Christmas. We stayed at the Racoon Loft which was great in everyway! It had everything you needed and the little touches were so nice. The grounds were pretty and we loved sitting on the front porch drinking our morning coffee. The location was great just...

Having discovered this through a living social voucher I had fairly moderate expectations but found myself totally amazed and delighted by this place. We had bear cabin which was cozy. The style is definitely rustic, with wooden and courrageted metal walls, etc . But rustic here is truly a style and not just a euphemism for neglect. The decor is...

I recently spent a week in Squirrel's Nest at Cabins as Seven Foxes with a friend and our 3 dogs. This was my 4th trip. The cabin and grounds were wonderful. Everything is so clean and neat. I enjoyed seeing the new features on the grounds. Bill has been busy and there is a pony in the pasture. The second...

We stayed at Deer Lodge in early April; upon our return home, we immediately told everyone we knew about this place. It was everything we wanted and more. The location is perfect - within driving distance to so many waterfalls. We hiked a total of 11 falls while we were there, including a horseback trip to one of them. Returning...

“We've stayed in three two-bedroom cabins (Deer Lodge, Squirrel's Nest, and Fox Hole) and, while all are attractive and livable, Deer Lodge with its spaciousness and two baths is really superior for two couples.”

“Deer Lodge is perfect for two couples, with not only a bedroom but also a bathroom for each, sometimes hard to find. It's very spacious, interestingly and attractively decorated, and has a kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need. ”

“The squarrel has our name on it, but we love the bear cabin as well, as we have enjoy it with our twin daughters many times. The raccoon is an awesome cabin, but you can only have so many homes away from home ... this is one of those little things that's taken from granted, which the feel of home away from home! All cabins are incredibly maintained, beautifully decorated and equipped; and Bill has done a masterful job at making the property a paradise for children and adults alike!”
