It’s hard to know where to start to describe our awful weekend at the Greystone Inn. We had not stayed there under the new ownership. We are an easy going couple and don’t consider ourselves to be high maintenance, but the service was surprisingly poor. From the time we walked in the door, the staff was indifferent, and at times rude. From trying to make reservations for dinner and getting interrupted by a staff member answering the phone to a waiter who suggested more pepper for our concern about the bland, over cooked trout, the service was subpar. The location is beautiful, and the Inn is a historic treasure, but this is not a luxury hotel. The list of problems with our room could fill a page. The Inn will not be successful targeting families for holiday weekends. They

We had been wanting to visit that this property since relocating back to the States but when we inquired, the inn was closed and under renovations. In looking for a place to celebrate a birthday, we found that the inn had recently reopened so we decided it would be the perfect site to celebrate my wife's birthday. The inn has a remarkable setting overlooking Lake Towaway. You can only imagine what the site looked like back in 1913 when the inn was constructed and Lucy Armstrong camped on the site. Not knowing what the inn look liked prior to the renovation, we can only comment that the refurbishing to the main building is fabulous and all of the wood floors, mouldings and staircases are beautiful as are the carpets. It is very inviting and homey. At arrival, we were

My husband, our two elementary school aged children and I stayed at the Greystone Inn for five nights last week. We remembered the Greystone fondly from past visits and were eager to see it renovated and under new ownership. We are also considering buying property in the area and wanted to check out what the restaurant and marina might have to offer. Our room in the Hillmont building was lovely and spacious and featured an incredible view of the lake. We could not have been happier with the accommodations. On the days when we had nice weather, we enjoyed renting boats and taking our children fishing, kayaking, swimming, and tubing. The manager of the marina could not have been friendlier or more helpful. That said, staff in general at the inn did not bend over backwards

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Greystone and thank you for taking the time to write this review. The Greystone had been closed for four years, was completely remodeled in 2018 and reopened 10 weeks ago. We are very happy to hear you thought your room was lovely and spacious and thrilled to hear you enjoyed the activities available to our guests. It will definitely take some time to build a team that gives the level of service we expect for our guests 100% of the time. We are proud of the work many on our team are doing and have had wonderful reviews for their effort. We are sorry you had a bad experience in our restaurant. We have heard your comments and will review with our team. We hope to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations on your next visit.

We had a wonderful experience at the Greystone Inn. We were treating very well. We stayed in the Edison Room, which was appointed very nicely. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We enjoyed brunch and dinner at the Lakeside restaurant and both meals were very good. We had a delightful boat ride in the late afternoon with a very knowledgeable guide, Tony. He told us all about the history of the house and area. A very relaxing weekend.

The Greystone Inn is a beautiful hotel with peaceful grounds on a gorgeous lake. The staff is friendly and will even give you a tour if you ask nicely. We had dinner at the Lakeside Dining Room. The view is amazing and the service is exceptional. The food is good, but not great. We ordered trout, which was fishy (yes, I know it is fish, but...). The burger was a good burger. I would go back to try it again, but we left slightly disappointed after our first visit.
