This location is beautiful! However it is very outdated and pricey! We had to pay for everything when we got there! Mini golf was even overpriced! Our room was hard to sleep in. It was dingy and had bugs crawling everywhere including roaches. Fishing here...More
Unbeknown to use, Wyndham put us into Fox Run. We arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday and reception was closed. it took till almost 7 to figure out that we were at fox run. We barely made it to their front desk before they left....More
The location is beautiful with woods, hills, golf course and Lake Lure. The units are comfortable, but some things need updating. Example: why would a unit that sleeps 8 have a toaster with only two small openings? The coffee maker and blender are equally inadequate....More
The photos of this resort fail to do it justice! The location in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, near Chimney Rock, is exquisite. The condos are spacious, private, and excel in lovely views of the mountains, trees, and flowers.

You can go to the Rumbling Bald web site to find a list of prices for renting the equipment. There is a charge for renting kayaks, canoes, and pontoon boats. You can bring your own kayak. There are 2 lakes...Lake Lure is the larger lake and Bald Mountain Lake is the smaller lake. Both are great for kayaking but Bald Mountain Lake is quieter (they do not allow motor vehicles on this small lake). Enjoy your stay!
