We booked thru Expedia and there was no vacancy at the time but Expedia allowed the reservation to go thru but changed the dates on it and I didn't notice. We arrived at Darling by the Sea and it was full. That wasn't my issue, things happen and the owner said she would pay us back our 345.00 dollars. We found a different hotel for the weekend and still had a nice trip. Well, since then we have called the owner numerous times to get our refund and she has ignored every call and won't call us back. We wanted to stay at this hotel and planned on trying again in the future but now I will never go there. I think it's terrible to steal money from people, you got paid for your room by the other tenants, we lost 345.00 dollars for nothing. We work hard for the money we have, I plan on pressing charges. A very relaxing and private getaway, with restaurants in walking distance. No children or animals are allowed, so noise is at a minimum. The decor/furnishings are slightly outdated, but the place is clean and private.

Very disappointed. Room clean; view was beautiful. If you're looking for a room that was last updated in the '70's, this is your place. The entire room needs to be redecorated. Shag carpet, pleather peeling off chair, bed extremely hard, broken floor tiles, stained tub & mirrored walls!

The view is gorgeous from the balcony-I watched both the sun and moon rise. The kitchen was equipped enough to get by without needing to go out to eat. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was awesome. The only reason I gave a 4-star review was because 1) the door to the patio was in need of repair or replacement. It took me several tries to get it to open/close/lock properly. 2) Sitting on the balcony was wonderful but I wish this place was 100% no smoking. I could smell when someone would smoke on their balcony and had to go inside until they were finished. 3) I heard kids screaming and crying the first night. I thought this place was adults only but maybe they were visiting (?). Other than those small things, the locale and room were both perfect.

Loved the stay. Amazing Gift basket was super. Bed was great. View was amazing Quiet peaceful but fun. So close to the water it was perfect Can’t wait to come back soon! I can’t wait to see the remodel coming soon.
