Marriott courtyard, Jacksonville, NC., was way less than I was expecting in a world class hotel chain. The front desk was as accommodating as they could be, but unsatisfactory in my opinion. False advertising is a real problem! They picture a "sparkling pool", but neglected to mention that it was only 4' deep + 14"???? I've seen lap pools larger. Beds were TOO soft, pillows were okay. Floors were NOT vacuumed on a daily basis, and from what I could tell, the sheets were NOT changed either!!! Not enough towels, soap dust on lavatory counter ledge, window would only open 2"! Bathroom floor was like ice, no glasses in bathroom, no towel hanger next to tub. Water closet has issues filling slow. Raw sewage is pumped from this hotel, not 20' from the main entrance at 7:30-8:00 AM!!! NOT a good thing to walk into that absolutely horrific smell. I've written to Marriott corporate, and yes, I have photos! Very disappointed in my stay, room was maybe worth half of what I paid through you. Oh yes, they don't have Coca Cola products! Thanks for listening. Most sincerely, Brian Williamson
PS: the 3 photos are of a finger nail I trimmed on the 21st after arriving. It was still there the next day, and still there Day of checkout!
There are so many available properties in this immediate area but this is by far the nicest of them all. Located near food and shopping, it’s location is great. Tessa at the front desk was so pleasant and professional. The room was very clean and it was very quiet. I believe for the money spent, this is the only true value. I’ll be back again soon.
Very clean hotel went there on vacation with my family the best highlight to my 3 kids was the pool area highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly staff as well. They also have an all night access to snacks that was a hit with my family
This was a very nice place to stay. However, there was no continental breakfast available. The grandchildren thought the pool was too small. Really comfortable beds and room. Plenty of nearby places to eat.
This hotel was a blessing after my run in with sunset hotel down the road.. beds are comfortable.. air conditioning works... room was clean and smelled nice... bathroom was clean and shiny... slept like a baby... they could do a little better on sound proofing, but I slept just fine light sleepers might not though
