Beautiful, historical and convenient location. We were welcomed with a social time of wine and cheese. Rooms were comfortable. Staff was friendly, making us feel welcome. They made special accommodations for our breakfast since we had to leave early. It was delicious. We could walk to the downtown area.

Awesome place to get away. Perfect for Biltmore stays; not too close to Asheville traffic but yet just a short ride. Also, a great location for many other Western NC activities. The Inn? Charming, comfortable and meets ALL your needs. Breakfast was super good and better than most restaurants. The staff made you feel like you lived there and would... More

This less than stellar review is mostly my fault. I didn't pay attention to the description of the facility. I was looking for price, internet and convenience. This is more like a B&B which is not my cup of tea. It's very charming but I like modern conveniences. I like the front desk available all night. I like ice available... More

I am not sure why you would write us a bad review when you clearly state your choice for staying with us is your fault. We are totally different from a chain hotel. Our house was built in 1880 and still maintains its original charm. We have the stream radiators for heat, the original windows, and all the quirks that... More

This B & B is a lovely place to stay. The staff is gracious, very helpful, knowledgeable, and want to ensure your stay with them is a wonderful experience. Shelley and Cathy are delightful. Room was nice. The Lantern restaurant was very good and wine on the porch listening to David playing guitar was fun.

We celebrated our anniversary by a visit to Hendersonville and driving the local area to view the wonderful displays of leaf color. We chose the Charleston Inn on the basis of its website and TripAdvisor reviews. It absolutely lived up to the positive reviews. This is a 1900ish boarding house converted to an inn many years ago. It has architectural... More

We had a 2 room suite, each with queen beds. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Everyone of the staff we met were gracious and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing... no need to eat again until dinner! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Inn's restaurant one evening. Wonderful wide porch with rocking chairs for relaxing with a... Wonderful turn of the century old boarding house brought into the present with very comfortable rooms. Extremely friendly and helpful staff help with things to do and see in the area. Paired with the B&B is an excellent restaurant, The Lantern. Good idea if the inn is fully booked to make dinner reservations if you choose to dine in.

My wife and I spent our anniversary at the Inn. Hospitality was amazing from the time we checked in to when we left. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to live music. The wine and cheese happy hour was a nice bonus! We will be back.

We stayed for one night after going apple picking at a nearby orchard. We stayed in the queen suite with two queen beds, which was spacious. The bathroom included a bathtub. The internet worked very well. We had dinner and breakfast in the Lantern restaurant, which was excellent, and we enjoyed eating out on the deck. We missed the wine... More

The preservation/upgrading of downtown Hendersonville is text book! And the Charleston Inn is right in the middle of it. The staff--Poppa Jack, Kathy, David--are the ultimate in hospitality. Rooms are comfortable. Common areas and the magnificent wraparound porch are superb. Breakfast was great all four mornings---not over the top, but quite well done. Wine and cheese in the afternoon.
