In 20 years that I have been traveling as a nurse I have never left a negative review. I felt it was imperative to leave a review of this horrible place of business that absolutely needs to be shut down. Upon arriving in the early evening a drunk or high older unprofessional woman checked me in stating oh you get the nicest room since you booked for a week! age said I needed to see it first for some reason... Odd I thought, when it supposedly was their nicest room. This room smelled of mold, it was dingy, dirty, tiles in the bathroom were loose, cob webs in every corner, and just plain nasty! I had no choice though other than to say ok I'll take it. What a mistake!!! I asked for an extra towel... Oh no we don't give extra towels. I needed a plug to the drain to take a bath, oh no we don't have plug drains. I pulled out the glob of hair and hair bands out of the drain and used their suggestion of plugging it up with a washcloth. This washcloth had pubic hairs in it! The bath water came trickling out. I found rat feces behind the bed and in the drawers, mold covered floor boards and pictures, stains and hair throughout comforter, no toilet tissue, no kleenex in tissue box holder, outlets didn't work, two lights worked in the whole room, the continental breakfast was orange Tang and little Debbie nutty bars, my sister was Seriously scolded by this same scary drunk woman for parking in the space outside my room when she came to visit. It was completely unmarked but apparently it was the managers space!! Who makes a customer with many bags park far away so the manager can have a closer walk to the office!!!!
I ended up in the hospital five days later with the worst asthma
and mold inhalation infection that I've ever experienced. I warn you not to go. There was so much more and I WILL be contacting their headquarters and Better Business Bureau. It is worth my time to save others agony. This hotel is giving all Knights Inns a bad name....or maybe they all have these
standards! It needs to be shut down
immediately.

loose on the floor and walls, cob webs in every corner. I had no choice but to say ok...my biggest mistake.

I stayed 8 nights the worst 8 nights ever. I had BUGS in my bed!!! i woke up with bug bites all over my body. I found hair that was not mine in the bed and shower. In the bathroom there was a hole in the wall. You only get two towels. i opened up the dresser they give you there was a powder in all of the drawers. There were little holes all over the walls in this room. It was very dirty. The paint was chipping off of the walls. The light switch didn't even work i had to walk around the room and turn on the lights. There was no phone or clock in the room, yes we all have phones now a days but i really think i shouldn't have to use my personal phone to call the desk. This is just some of the things wrong with this hotel....
Don't even waste your time its not even worth the money, spend a little more and go to one of the nicer hotel in the area.

Only stay at this motel if there are no other rooms available in Havelock. Better still, drive the extra 20 miles to lovely New Bern. In our room, fittings and fixtures were either broken, out of order or missing, presumably stolen. The room looked as if it had not been renovated since been built 40 years ago. The pool was closed and the complimentary breakfast consisted of a doughnut and a coffee (the juice machine was out of order, as was the ice machine). Staying here was a dreadful experience.

Half a star to the receptionist on our late night arrival. She was friendly and tried to be helpful.

When we first pulled in to the parking lot, we wondered if we had made a mistake. Only a few cars in the lot (we WERE past season, but still made us concerned) and the overall condition of the building looked a bit run down. The lobby was closed (looks like renovating),so had to use the night window. Quick check in, no credit card taken (we booked through Expedia). The room was first floor (requested, as only steps to get to the second floor), able to park outside of the room. Updated locks. Room was nice; flooring instead of carpet. Beds firm but comfortable (for us, at least). Desk with regular chair, no other chair in room. Sink outside of the bathroom. Some updates needed; handle on sink was broken, needed some paint in a few places. Hot water but had to put all the way on hot to have hot water (certainly couldn't scald yourself but was plenty hot). No hand towels, but owner gave us extra wash cloths to use as hand towels. Came in daily to make the bed and empty trash, changed out towels. Not a fancy place, but clean enough and comfortable. Would have NO CONCERNS with staying here again in the future. Although owner didn't seem overly friendly when we checked in, the next morning he was helpful and friendly. Great price for the location, too.

Myself and a fishing buddy stayed here for $59 night before a very early morning fishing trip out of Morehead City. A few roaches in the room. Smell was ok. TV, AC and fridge worked. Shower head was like a pressure washer nozzle. Knight club downstairs thumped all night long. I WOULD NOT bring my family here. It served our purpose but I will not stay here again.

This has changed over to Havelock Inn and Suites. We booked this ONLY because there were no rooms left in Havelock on the Saturday night we were in town. DO NOT WASTE your money or your time!!! This place is a dump. Air Conditioner did not work and its July. They do not even have ice machines on the grounds. I am not really picky but this is ridiculous...and they charged us $90 for this room. So disappointed there are no words. Oh and they advertise a pool...no water in it and the local frogs use it as their home...

My new husband and I chose to stay this hotel at the last minute because we could not make our ferry to the outer banks on time. The hotel attendant told us as we were signing in that they were having trouble with their cleaning staff but was very kind. We entered the room and noticed a musty smell. I looked around and noticed that there were hair shavings on the faucet. I removed the comforter which looked disgusting, smelled of someone else' perfume, and had cigarette burns on it. There was no blanket on the bed just a thin sheet. I asked the attendant for a blanket and all they had were two small blankets. I took a shower later that night and used the provided wash cloths. The first one I noticed a head hair stuck in the fibers so I tossed it aside and grabbed the other one. It was worse. It had pubic hair stuck in the fibers. It was late so we just finishd the night there. The office didn't open until 7am. We had to leave at 6. There was no where to deposit our keys or inform them that we had checked out. I called later that morning and the manager sounded like "what do you want me to do about it." He asked for my phone number and said he would call me back. I'm still waiting for that call. Not a good start to my honeymoon.

This place should be burned to the ground. Someone we know suggested that we stay at this place because we had planned a trip to Atlantic Beach for the for the day and WHAT A MISTAKE. Reading all the reviews from last year saddens me because this place is still ATROCIOUS! The staff was helpful only when the manager came in. The manager on duty gave us this room that was so NASTY. There were little hairs on the bed, yellow stains on the sheets and both the room that they first showed up and the room that we were upgraded to smelled of mold. We were going to leave but meet a big manager who put us in the Newly Renovated rooms that were better but still NOT UP TO CODE, at least that is my belief.

There were 4 rooms for us. My boyfriend and I got a room that reeked of mold /mildew and when I open the freezer there was black mold sitting in it. In all my life I would have never expected to see black mold in the freezer.

Our Uncles room had one of the A/C broken in one of the UPGRADED rooms and the temp for the day was 101.

The Aunts stayed in a room that had an earwig infestion in the bathroom. there were like 30 crawling on the floor when the entered that evening.

AGAIN, This place should be burned down to the ground. I will be contact the better business bureau because we were told that they once had a bedbug epidemic and I am so afraid that I may have brought some home.

Oh and when we complained before we left the same manager on duty asked why didn't we call last nite...THERE WERE NO PHONES IN ANY OF THE ROOMS!
Terrible is not enough to describe this place...
