Overall a very good experience. Location is central to many areas and points of interest on the coast. Person who checked us in was very personable and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Although the room did show signs of it's age, these were minor and did not in any way detract from the visit. Breakfast was pretty much what is expected, hot bar with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Also various breads and danish and such. Area was spotless and the hot food was hot and fresh. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

The front desk staff (Sydnee Cole) and the lady in the kitchen (Kathy ?) are both exceptional employees that go out of there way to make guest feel welcome and at home. The entire front desk was very courteous and the cleaning staff were all very helpful. I would prefer to have firmer pillows, but I usually bring my own.

Location: The hotel is located in Havelock about 20 minutes east of New Bern, NC on US 70. It's a mile from NC-101 which will take you to the massive Marine Corps Air Station - Cherry Point which is the big draw in Havelock. There isn't much else in Havelock but it's an easy drive to the really pleasant city of New Bern and there are some fast food and sit down restaurants nearby.
Hotel: The hotel is a strange style of HIX design that I'm not familiar with. It has a large parking lot, small lobby area with a fish tank and a second floor that overlooks the lobby. There's a sweet shop and a large breakfast area, 24 hour fitness center and an indoor pool as well. Do note there's just one elevator so there can be some waits.
Check In: My welcome amenity points were posted before I arrived. Service at the front desk was friendly and they had a whiteboard with the name of all the elites written as a welcome.
Room: Not the best. It had an odd design that felt studio suite like but was too small for the purpose. There was a better kitchen than expected but instead of a desk there was a rickety too small table and instead of a couch just some armchairs. The bathroom was big but water pressure in the shower wasn't very good and there was a lot of visible damage to the bathroom, it could really use with some new tile and caulking. On the plus side, Wifi worked well and there were outlets near the bed.
Breakfast: Still being served by attendants. There were biscuits and gravy, bacon and scrambled eggs along with cinnamon rolls, the pancake machine, yogurt, fruit and juice.
Overall a decent hotel and a cheaper option than New Bern.

I just checked out on 7/9/24. The staff at this hotel are extremely nice, but that's where the positives end. This hotel is extremely overpriced. IHG hotels are hit or miss (mostly misses). This hotel is very dated and should be averaging around $80 a night (not $150). The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. IHG needs to close this hotel and renovate the rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. My room was on the third floor and looked pretty good. I would guess it had been refurbished in the last year or so.
Nice bed but the pillow top (?) made it a little too spongy for my taste. Good selection of pillows.
Decent work desk way too close to the AC.
The bathroom had a nice large walk-in shower and large vanity. The sink seemed a little small though and the faucet was far back in the bowl. Hot water was slow in coming and not so hot.
The hotel has one slow working elevator which is unacceptable especially since there are no public stairs to use as an alternative. You can use the fire stairs at the ends of the main hallway.
The main entrance is weird. The driveway from the access road is convoluted and there is almost no parking in front of the hotel! So you have to park around back and then use the locked side entrances and the fire stairs to get up to your room OR traipse to the lobby, take the elevator and then go back down the hall to your room!

The room had roaches , eggs tasted artificial everything was very nasty 🤮 people kept trying to open our room . The person that check us in was wearing wrinkle clothes gave us the wrong room and she when we ask if they have gym he said no when they did . Overall I would not recommend people to stay there

I was trying to find a place to stay midway between Fort Macon and Hammock beach state park and this one popped up. I'm a very COVID "conscious" person and the main reason I booked this hotel was it said there would be 24 hours gap between guests(expedia) . The COVID precautions on expedia contradicts what receptionist said and what they enforced. No guests wore masks, receptionist said COVID rules are relaxed over here. I would have booked the hotel next door for a lesser price had i known about "relaxations" instead of paying 200$ a night. I would have gotten it for much much lesser.

We picked this hotel for a weekday trip to Beaufort and New Bern and the location was perfect for that. The hotel is located in a commercial area very near the Marine Corps Air Station. It is set a ways back from the road so you do not hear much traffic and I did not notice any plane noise inside the room. The check in clerk was pleasant and gave me a corner room on the top floor as requested. Although it was a Monday the hotel was pretty full. Most of the guests appeared to be workers since there were lots of trucks in the parking lot. The room was large but somewhat dated. The furniture was chipped and the TV was an outdated plasma model. Strangely, there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. The biggest negative was the huge dent in the king bed (see photo). If I was not by myself I would have had to change rooms. The breakfast was good and included hot items.

Yuck. The rooms in this hotel are not clean. The room smelled musty - like there was mildew. It seemed like they started to renovate but stopped. I skipped a shower since that was gross too. Stay somewhere else! The only thing that was ok was the breakfast buffet.

Parked and saw people sitting right outside of the entrance smoking. Walked in and the only word I can think to use is gross. Even the hand sanitizer at the front desk stunk. I tried to convince myself it was just one night. I get to my room and I can’t even describe the smell. I walked into the bathroom and it was gross. Scum, mildew, and the floor of the tub was black with dirt. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. I would not consider staying here again nor would I recommend this location to anyone.
