As anyone that reads my reviews knows, I don't give many excellent reviews, but "The Inn of the Patriots" certainly deserves one. We booked one night there to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary yesterday (9/5). We also booked the cooking class. The inn is run by Marti Mongiello and his wife, both disabled veterans. Marti is a former white house...

We found a treasure! What a welcoming and comfortable B&B, with the added bonuses of much history and fabulous breakfast. Thanks to Laura for her great cooking, hospitality and taking care of us. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Our room was beautiful and bed comfortable. Thanks to Marti for this special place, for the tour, and...

This was such a beautiful place, full of so many historical emblematics and lovely decorated rooms. Marti, Stormy were very hospitable and Kim was so helpful to everyone. The breakfast was great as was the tour afterwards. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We went for our anniversary and are so happy we did. The room was charming and comfortable. The food was out of this world. And we really enjoyed the tour and funny history given by the owner. Yes the bathrooms are small but we loved that they have put so much work into keeping the charm of the house while...

The room here was very nice. Marti was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic. The tour was very interesting as Marti was a former White House chef for Bush and Clinton so he had some really good stories.

If you are going down Carolinas way, stop and visit this place. GREAT host. GREAT breakfast. Out of the way--but if you are a history buff, you'll love it. The owners have thought I've everything to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of little touches. Highly recommended!

We have been to a number of B&B's but the Inn is the most unique in what the owners have put into it. It's full of interesting and historical memorabilia. It was fascinating listening to the owner, Marti, on the culinary museum tour. The breakfast was homemade down to the catsup. Marti & Stormy have done a wonderful job with...

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was something different, we learned a lot, beds were comfy, A/C definitely cooled well, lots of opportunities to interact with other guests and a good breakfast. Our room had a flat screen TV on which the music channel was playing pleasantly when we came in. Fake flowers inside and outside are not our...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and took the cooking class. We really enjoyed the class and the friendly atmosphere of the Inn. The innkeeper Marti is so interesting and has so much history knowledge that it made our stay. We would love to go back sometime. The Colonel Cleveland room was very comfortable.

We stayed in the Nature and Earth room with private bath. The front porch is a peaceful place to read. The common areas have wonderful displays to view. Chef Marti's tour is a wonderful history of the area as well as some of the presidents. All staff are friendly and professional. And of course, there is the most excellent breakfast...
