Great location, easy access off of the parkway, nice quiet location! Showers and toilet a bit small for a larger guy! But, bed was very comfortable, jacuzzi tub added a nice feature. Would stay again, but in larger cabin....

If you are planing a trip to the Blue Ridge parkway with a large group, the Mountain View Lodge is a wonderful place to consider. You have a large lawn for an event and plenty of space inside for meals and gatherings. It has a comfy "home" setting, and you can even bring "Spot" with you. My daughter wed at...

We stayed here in the Pine Cabin while attending Merlefest (Late April in Wilkesboro NC) and thought it perfect for us. The cabin was cute, clean and stocked well enough with pots, pans and utencils for us to cook breakfast, make tea and have a midnight snack when we got back to the accomodation. It was warm, relatively spacious (compared...

Disaster. We checked into the Virginia cabin at 9 pm to find the fireplace and water heater not working. In Fall, the cabin was simply not habitable without water water and heat from the fireplace. And we had no idea where to go for help. We had cellphone numbers for the owner, but there was no cell service up there...

We wanted to take a trip to North Carolina to see the fall color and of course the mountains this October. Wow, we packed food to cook. We packed our clothes, DVD's, well it seemed like even the kitchen sink and let me tell you, this place had everything. We could have taken a couple of changes of clothes and...

I wish I owned a cabin like the one I stayed at. There's plenty of room, with an upstairs bedroom plus the master bedroom on the ground floor. Immediately off the Blue Ridge - look for the pig on the mailbox - but feels as if you're miles from anywhere. The best way to enjoy this cabin is to bring...

We really enjoyed the clean cabins, everything you need is provided and we had a very good sleep at the Cabine Carolina. The outdoor tables and chairs need an update. The kids loved to play on the meadow.

My family really enjoyed a quick getaway in the "Blue Ridge Cabin" of the Mountain View Lodge and Cabins. A nice hidden spot, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabin was very clean and nice. The weather was very cold, but the gas fireplace and floor heaters were plenty to keep us warm. The kitchen had the basic supplies, but...

We recently stayed in the Pine Cabin. Cute cabin perfect for a family of 2-4. Cleaning could be improved somewhat. There were a few dust bunnies around. Shower stall was very small and as such we got water all over the floor when taking a shower. Very convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway. Very quiet. Love that you accept pets. We...

We stayed in the Birch Cabin for our 13th Anniversary. What a great trip!!! Cabin was clean and had just enough enemities for the 2 of us. Cooked breakfast one morning, grilled out one night, and had a campfire. Even cooked biscuits in the toaster oven using aluminum foil on the rack! Just a peaceful place! Also visited West Jefferson,...

“The two 2-bedroom cabins overlook the rest of the property from the front porches (nice for letting kids play outside), while the six 1-bedroom cabins have nice tall balcony decks from the bedroom overlooking the wooded mountainside.”

“Some of the rooms are very large and include futon sofas. This sort of sleeping arrangement works well for families, but not for unrelated groups.”

“Make sure you ask for the "pet friendly" cabin if you have a furry member of your family. Bring charcoal if you want to use the grill.”

“If we would have known befor we would have chosen one of the cabins on top of the hill. They have a nice porch towards the evening sun.”
