The Fairfield Inn near Asheville Airport did not disappoint. The front desk staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary airport shuttle service also was convenient, operating during the wee morning hours. Highly recommend!
I stayed at this location August 12th for 2 nights. I was in a King 1 BR Suite on the 4th floor. Room was clean and comfy. The hotel itself was very clean from outside to inside. The breakfast was ok , wish they had scrambled eggs instead of a rolled over egg. The front desk staff gets all of my applause. April and Dom by far were the best associates I have come across in a while. They attended to all of my needs. Thank you guys for making my stay much more welcoming. Great location adjacent to I26 and plenty of restaurants nearby.
We had booked two rooms and my mother needed a Queen handicap room. They could not accommodate her, so we asked for our money back. The general manager refused to give our money back for both rooms even though we didn’t stay there and had to find a different hotel (it was still a Marriott property) that could accommodate my handicap mother. I’ve never had such an awful experience with a Marriott property at all. I asked the front desk person to call her manager and ask her to call me. She proceeded to tell me they aren’t allowed to have phones at front desk. I then asked her to go in the back office and call if that was the case. She then informed me that that would be considered abandonment if she left me at front desk. She told me she had been reported before for that. The lobby and right at the entrance to hotel smelled like pot. I urge everyone to not stay here!!! The room we were checked into, looked NOTHING like the pictures posted on Marriott app when we booked it either. Terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble……
Stayed for two nights while visiting Biltmore and area. Although it was not the reason for the visit, FYI this is less than a mile from Asheville's little airport. The room is plain, nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. Self serve Breakfast was well stocked and lots of room to sit. Many restaurants earby and on Hendersonville Road. There is a micro-brewery on the side street behind the hotel that had live musicians. The place itself is a little hard to find, its on a residential street (mostly) away from the main road by about a half mile. By far, the best feature is the staff at the hotel. There is a young lady named "Dom" who was one of the most mature and polite young people I have encountered in years. Another was the lady who checked us in, April. I told the manager the next day what great and enthusiastic employees he had -- also the lady that served breakfast who is from Athens, GA, sorry I cannot recall your name.…
I've never stayed at a Fairfield before this one but definitely will again. The hotel was clean and quiet and provided a simple hot breakfast. I like that the AC unit can be set to constant fan so it provides white noise. I requested a fan for my room to provide more white noise and never heard any hallway noise while I slept. I think the walls are thin though because my coworker heard people in the room next to her until midnight the night we stayed. So I recommend bringing or asking for a fan when booking your reservation. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and large. Breakfast was oatmeal with a variety of toppings. yogurt, juices, prepackaged biscuits and bagels, toast, bacon and pre-made eggs. I saw a waffle iron too but didnt notice if anyone was using it. There were two coffee options with plain and flavored creamers and hot tea options. There is a conveniently located cooler and snack selection at the front desk. The location is near the airport but I never heard any noise from it. The hotel has an indoor pool and it looked clean and there was an ice machine and laundry area located on the first floor. Rooms have fridge and microwave. Highly recommend staying here.…
Check in was easy. The hotel and my room were very clean. I liked that I could use the stairs instead of having to take the elevator. Like many Marriotts, the shower had bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in it. Breakfast had fruit, yogurt, hot dishes, and waffles, so it was a good variety. The hotel is close to many places to eat, but it takes 20 mins or so to get to central Asheville. Overall, I got a good value for my money and I'm glad I stayed there.
I stayed here for a business meeting the following day in Asheville. It's tough to find, but they have a shuttle that picks you up from the airport, however, not sure if it runs after 9. The room was a solid Fairfield experience and service at the desk was solid. I asked to get the shuttle and the woman at front desk called and arranged it just for me.
This was OK, the price was over rated for the Fairfield. The driveway getting into the hotel was a real pain. Overall it was clean and offered the usual breakfast stuff. It was not worth the price we paid.
My flight was delayed missing my connection in Chicago so I was able to stay here. When I got here Viviline, although by herself with the phone ringing off the hook and a customer in front of her greeted me kindly. She was Very thorough and detailed while being pleasant at the same time. I was Very impressed by here customer service and multitasking skills!!! Wanted to reach out and left whoever know, you have a great employee!! Thank you! Gina Pacheco
On first glance it didn’t seem too bad. The flood had food in a few places and obviously not vacuumed, but everything worked and appeared to be relatively clean. I very much appreciated the staff wearing masks. However, things took a huge turn and we left by 6:30 am due to waking up to cockroaches in the bathroom and then we also found them in the main room. We packed up fast and left. I had to dig through all our belongings when we got home to make sure nothing came with us.
