Recently stayed at the "Three's a Crowd" rental which is located higher up on the mountain. The view was spectacular and the cabin was awesome!!! The kitchen has a fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, oven and microwave. Dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans and cooking utensils are provided. There are also some basic cooking ingredients such as salt and pepper....

If you are looking for a place to get away completely, this is it. In the best possible way, there is very little to do here, and yet you find every minute is filled with relaxing fun. The horse tour guides are very friendly, patient and helpful. The horses and mules are sweet and your kid won't want to leave...

We stayed in one of the larger cabins on top of the mountain. The views were fantastic and the cabin was top-notched. You are very secluded at Leatherwood and if you need to leave the premises, you may as well make it a day trip as there is a bit time when traveling down the mountain or to the nearest...

Stopped by to check out the property and stayed for lunch at Saddlebrook Grill. Service from Jennifer was terrific... helpful with the food and also with our next leg of the journey to Boone, NC on our motorcycles. Great destination to ride to if for not other reason than to have lunch! or Breakfast!

This was one of the places my wife and I went on our honeymoon - We will never forget it. It is isolated enough that you don't have to worry about the traditional travel issues, but close enough to things that you don't have to drive four hours and worry about that type of issue. You do need to get...

Wonderful trip to the foothills and blueridge mountains. Helpful, friendly staff. Clean grounds. Lots to do, or do nothing. Creek across the road, go chill on a tube. Boone, Blowing Rock, a short scenic ride away.

This was as perfect a location, accomodation, and vacation as you can find if you love horses and luxurious accomodations! My wife and I and our two quarter horses spent a week at Leatherwood Mountains Resort. We rented a private-owner cabin called the "Horsin' Around Cabin." The cabin was meticulously kept and clean. Incredible kitchen and baths, beautiful furnishings, and...

We loved everything about our stay at Leatherwood Mountains. Our cabin on the mountain was wonderful. We did not stay too high up the mountain (so we did not have mountain views from our cabin) which turned out to be perfect for us because it allowed us to walk the serene meadow each morning and evening, and we were only...
