I decided to surprise my sister for her wedding a month ago, so I flew over to England, rented a car, and drove up to one of the most beautiful areas I have ever been to. I arrived around 8pm, so didn't really see much of anything, but once inside, I understood what all the fuss was about and why...

We have been to Hargate Hall a few times. The place is full of character with good facilities and great for parties. You can bring the kids and the dog. I do think that it is overpriced. We could have got a B and B for the same price as we paid for a small room in a flat with...

A lovely Victorian house set in the peak district. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. My son and his wife held their wedding at Hargate Hall and were able to design the event and make it their own celebration. Both families and friends who live across the UK got the chance to get together and spend a whole...

A hall steeped with history set only 4 miles from Buxton town. We spent New Years weekend here and enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Hardwick suite which was ample for the 2 of us. These apartments are self catering and you get a kitchen, dining area, sofa and Tv with an open fire if you need it (we...

Just returned from another amazing weekend at Hargate Hall for the annual gathering of our family. For the original members it was the 20th visit with numbers attending growing over the years some travelling from as far as Switzerland. Big thank you to Julie and Antony for the bottles of Bubbly and chocolates to help us celebrate. Great continued work...

Hargate Hall is a late Victorian home that has been divided into apartments. Some still require upgrading whilst others appear of a good standard. Ours, although comfortable, was looking a little tired with heavily misted double glazing and a hideous electricity meter. Some of the renovations are in keeping with the property whilst others (an upstairs library) somewhat detract from...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Much of what you have pointed out is either already done, in hand or outside our control. In term of the de-cluttering, while you were here 2 of the apartments were being redecorated so a fair amount of furniture etc that was dotted around was from them. The "wedding" tables...

Hargate Hall offers spacious self-catering apartments in an excellent quite location. It is a great base for trips into the Peak District. And also a true relief after all those cramped rooms in too many other places. The only weird things that could do with a change is the coin meter for electricity: nobody wants to find themselves suddenly in...

We attended a friends wedding wedding here over a weekend and it was idyllic to say the least. The hall itself has apartments to house guests and they're all very spacious. There's a marquee which easily catered for the meal with a kitchen space at the back for the caterers. I can honestly say that this place contributed to the...

We stayed mon-fri for a wedding. Even though it was nice, the room wasn't equipped as we were led to believe for wheelchair access. No ramp was provided, the bathroom was a joke, couldn't even access it because the bed was blocking the way, the shower head was held up with electrical tape, and the floor drain keep overflowing across...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am sorry that things were not up to the standards that you had expected. Some of them, such as the blocked shower drain and mice, should not have happened and i will deal with immediately. Regarding the others items, it is always harder when we are communicating through a...
