We stayed here for 4 days. We found the overall experience below what we have experienced at other large Marriott hotels. There was only one washer/dryer and the staff struggled to provide quarters (hint -- link the cost to the hotel key card). Coffee was not available for free -- exceedingly unusual. The fitness center was very good. The valet...

Well, I debated about writing this review, but decided I had to. I am Platinum elite reward member and have stayed at this hotel many times. If you are a business traveler...do not stay here. The room renovations are horrible. I am not quite sure what they were thinking. There is no desk or chair in the room! You heard...

This was a mixed bag of tricks - everyone was lovely but: 1. Didn't direct us to any decent places for breakfast - sent us to a donut shop. 2. Didn't have information for mass on Easter Sunday available. 3. I asked them to charge my card for the entire trip - they authorized it. 4. Housekeeper was fantastic, she...

My room was very nice and clean. It was recently renovated. I didn't love that the bathroom door is a frosted glass sliding door. It doesn't provide much privacy or keep in the heat while you're taking a shower. All the staff I interacted with were very nice and professional. It was convenient that there is a gym, but it's...

Will not come back. Don't like the renovation and something was banging and clunking every 30 mins do I couldn't sleep. Pillows were awful. I'm a platinum elite and I've not experienced thus before. While it is close to DPAC, it's not worth the stay

Rarely am I compelled to review a hotel, and never when I'm in mid-stay. For this hotel, I'll make an exception. I'm a constant traveler over the last twenty years, and whilst I've stayed in some great locations and terrific buildings, this one really treats you like a *guest*. Not as a customer - but as someone who they recognise...

Very mixed review. Room recently renovated - but had no desk. Staff exceedingly (overly) nice - everyone you passed - even side by side - asks how are you. Window (see photo) had not been washed in... forever? Lobby being renovated. No restaurant in hotel but lots nearby. If not a Marriott member, recommend the Aloft nearby.

I booked 2 nights at the Durham Marriott City Center because of its proximity to the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) and because I thought spending the extra money at a Marriott property would provide a more upgraded experience (including access to the M-Club lounge) compared to some of the other budget options in the area. This is one of...
