We had the opportunity to go riding and found this great place with beautiful scenery and awesome folks! The horses were perfect for my daughter and niece (inexperienced) and me (experienced). Mustsee
took my grand kids there to ride the horses the owner and his grand children operate this establishment and went out of their way to make sure our 3 and 4 year old cowpokes had a good time. They gave us a gentle horse for me to lead them around a large field . They also offerd to let my grandson who loves tractors climb up on the two they had in the Barn. Nothing fancy here but good scenery and nice horses
A friend and I stayed at Arrowmont to watch the eclipse on August 21st. We stayed in the Fort and then in the Queens cabin. We also enjoyed a 2 hour horse back riding experience. We were able to watch the eclipse from the top of the mountain which offered not only a stellar view of the eclipse but also of the beautiful mountains and valley. This is a family owned and run business. There is no question how much love is put into the daily operations. Every person we spoke to was incredibly kind and friendly. We were even welcomed to spend time with the Sellers family to watch the eclipse. Arrowmont stables is absolutely beautiful. If I could describe what I believe Heaven looks like, those visions could easily be this entire farm. I was overwhelmed with how serene it was no matter which direction I looked or where I was on the property. The nighttime sky was amazing! The Milky Way was clearly visible here! The horseback riding trail was especially Heavenly and Josh was an excellent guide! At one point my sunglasses and one of my earrings fell off and Josh willingly hopped off his horse and found both for me! I would highly recommend Arrowmont to anyone who is looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a slice of serene and peaceful country. The local area surrounding Arrowmont offers beautiful and quiet scenery as well. I will definitely be back and hopefully soon!!…
My wife and I horseback ride regularly so on our trip we booked 2 separate trail rides. Arrowmont was by far the best trail and the horses were well trained and well cared for. Because we are experienced riders, we went out with the 2 kids as guides, Mitchel and Nicole. For being a young woman and young man they were delightful, friendly, polite, and professional. Their love of the horses was obvious. If you can only go on one trail ride, this is the place to go. Nice photo opportunities.
It was a quaint little room. Some minor problems though, like one of the heaters didn't work. We enjoyed the place and especially liked the horses. Beautiful land with lots of great hiking and quiet time. The road is questionable to bring a car on. It is narrow and rough. Easy to bottom out with a car. Better off having a truck that sits up higher. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy the fort area but it looked like it was needing to be cleaned up. It's a neat place but needs some work done.
