I requested a balcony room with river view. When we checked in I was told all rooms had balconies but not all had river view. We were changed to a double Queen room on ground level overlooking the river. I had requested an extra blanket and was told it would be brought to us. We got to our room and unloaded all of stuff. As soon as I walked in I told my husband that the room reeked of cigarette smoke. I have a HUGE aversion to cigarettes. When our blanket was brought to us moments later we made a point to tell the lady the room had been smoked in. (We paid a $50 cash deposit for incidentals and we wanted to make sure it was noted that we didn’t smoke). She asked if we wanted to change rooms AGAIN (as if it would be bothersome). I said no, we’d buy some air freshener and leave the balcony door open. When we checked out this morning and went to retrieve our deposit the lady working the front desk told my husband we wouldn’t be getting our deposit back because we smoked in the room and they found a joint in the room. Mind you, the lobby was full of other guests checking out. My husband told her the story of our check in experience and ended up with our deposit back. AFTER the clerk basically accused him of lying. I was beyond livid.. I HATE cigarettes and wouldn’t know a joint if I saw one. Long story short, beware about losing your deposit. Shady way to rip off unsuspecting guests and keep their room deposits. …
My wife and I stayed at this hotel twice now and have never been disappointed at the great service and very very clean rooms .We had a new king bed and updated bathroom.I'm sorry to say due to the covid-19 breakfast was not served. I like this place because its close to the casino and great Native American stores.
We had a horrible experience with this hotel right from the start. We booked single nights stay at a rate of $149. My debit card was charged over $400. I called the front desk to complain and was put in touch with the manager who claimed this must be an issue with my bank. She claimed she had never seen this before. A review of other Trip Advisor reviews shows this hotel does this all the time. One issue is the card they ask to put on file for incidentals is actually charged. I have over 380 hotel reviews. Not once have I had to deal with this. We actually were pretty much forced to check out at 1:30 am due to the level of noise coming from our joining room. The people in there were so loud we couldn't sleep. We just gave up and left. The hotel was very clean and looks like it was recently remodeled. I personally will never stay here again.…
This was a very pleasant stay, room was very nice and clean and well equipped, staff was great and very COVID aware, felt very safe during our stay, location was very good and plenty of parking, for sure remember this on for our next trip to Cherokee
We recently spent three nights at this hotel while we toured the park and rode the train. Our room was in the last building so it was a bit of a hike up the hill to the breakfast room, but the view was nice and it was certainly quiet. Things were clean. Furnishings were average. But I don't like having to request that the room be freshened every morning. And... it does seem that everyone except housekeeping is overdoing the mandated Covid restrictions a bit. No touchy, no smiley (mask), no happiness in the voice. Told that no one would even come in to freshen the room unless we were gone for the day (an obvious thing but does not have to be stated in a way that makes a person feel sick or unclean). Only friendly greeting that I received was from a housekeeping person out front on a smoke break. Maybe these statements are unfair and maybe I'm getting tired of the hotel industry using Covid as an excuse to drastically cut back on services. But it is honestly how I felt after our stay.…
