Very attentive service, complimentary sodas and water in the mini-fridge, convenient to many bars and restaurants. Complimentary car service to local attractions from their antique cab. Clean, comfortable rooms. Walls a little thin and location is on main roads so plenty of traffic noise. Great bar off lobby -- Pete the bartender is the best. The front desk raved about...

My friends and I surprised someone for their birthday with a trip and concert in Charlotte. I heard wonderful reviews of this hotel, and I was thrilled to see that these kind words were true. Prior to checking in (the hotel didn't even know we were staying there yet), we asked for a few recommendations to find some nice beer...

We stayed at the Dunhill for a weekend in a Luxury Queen suite. We really appreciated the parking, the complimentary beverages/coffee, and the location. The downside of the location is the noise. We were on the third floor facing Tryon, which meant the noise from the street was pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights. There were also trees right...

We had the pleasure of spending an evening at this beautiful hotel. It is old but that is part of the uniqueness of it. Beds were comfy; showers were powerful and the rooms are very clean. Some remodeling could be done to update. But we enjoyed coffee with the in-room Keurig which was a pleasant surprise and then went to...

The hotel is well maintained and located in the heart of Charlotte. So many sites and restaurents are within a few steps of the hotel's front door. The hotel's historic roots are evident even though it has been updated. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room rate included...

This is the only place we stay when we visit Charlotte. The staff is very friendly, they make you feel like you are part of a family! Beautiful clean rooms, great beds and don't miss having a cocktail in the lounge with Natasha! She is a great bartender, we had so much fun hanging out with her. If you want...

The Dunhill Hotel was an awesome experience. There's something different about old hotels in Uptown areas. The room exceeded my high expectations, and the staff was phenomenal. Breakfast was fresh and tasty farm to table food. I would recommend this destination to anyone and everyone. Shower randomly went hot and cold, but it's an old hotel, and I was almost...

When I arrived, my reservation was for a room with a queen bed and a pull out sofa. Arriving at my room it had only a queen bed, when I went to front desk I was told that was the room I booked even with the confirmation. I asked for a roll away bed and was informed the hotel only...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Decades before The Dunhill Hotel would open, local architect Louis Asbury Sr. was entranced by the great Italian craftsmen who created cathedrals famous for their soaring, elegant roof lines. Today, The Dunhill Hotel stands distinct on the Charlotte skyline, an amalgam of American, British, and Italian influences, something those with an eye for period detail can detect. Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel, with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences, today's Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration was recently completed, and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of Mr. Asbury, with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler. ... more   less
