What an amazing place to spend the weekend! If you are looking for a little romance and great down south service, this is your place! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very quite. A hotel just doesn't compare to the Duke Mansion!

Exquisite room with a 2nd story balcony porch shared with our neighbor. Locks on all adjoining doors and curtains to block view into room. The room was amazing. Even had an iHome. The staff was friendly and helped me find my wallet I left behind when I returned. The breakfast was pretty good for a small staff and overall the...

A romantic stay tucked away in the city of Charlotte. You feel as if you have escaped back in history walking in the rose garden and having breakfast in the screen porch. Our room was very large with a screened in porch swing over looking the garden. The history of this home is worth reading about as well! Enjoy!

We had my a delightful December birthday celebration with the Romantic Package. Beautiful room with view of the gardens and a screened in porch. Dinner in our room was both delicious and a lovely evening. Delightful staff to take extra care of us. A bottle of wine from a dear friend was delivered to our room as well as a...

I feel rather uncomfortable writing this review because I did not actually STAY at the Duke Mansion, but I did want to address the food situation at the house. We attended a holiday event there. House is lovely, valet parking went well, but the food was an absolute surprise. There were several food stations and passed hors d'oeuvres and they...

Loved the setting, the surrounding neighborhood. The beautifully landscaped grounds, the graceful fountain and deep set porch (lined with rockers) greets you at the end of the secluded driveway. The mansion is a classic style in rare condition, obviously restored and well cared for. The interior does not disappoint, filled with chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows along with vintage and...

A wonderful place to stay for a special occasion. A restored historic house with unique rooms and furniture. Comfortable rooms and beds. Friendly staff. Breakfast provided but no other meals. Great garden. Not central. A unique place to stay.

Don't expect a small bed and breakfast. This place is very large, so large that it hosts banquets and meetings. The staff was very nice and helpful. it is located in a neighborhood setting with beautiful grounds. We stayed there twice about a week apart. Even though we booked the least expensive room, our room was large, very clean, and...

i truly enjoyed this place for the history and location. Like being in a Hotel in Central Park in NYC. It is out of the maddening crowd but very well located. I was only able to stay 1 night due to availability problems and had to leave to the airport very early in the morning. The hotel made my better...

Very nice romantic treat! Beds are really comfortable. Interesting place to stay. Restaurants are a walk away. Stayed in 3rd floor king bedroom. Wedding reception was downstairs and we couldn't hear a thing.
