Nice hotel and amenities and great location. We had a free night stay and were happy to use it. Personally, I would stay at a lower cost hotel if I were paying for it, but the Franklin is really nice. You can't beat being right on Franklin Street.

I thought the price of $329 after taxes was a bit steep for what you get, especially for a week night. Room was spacious enough and very clean but could use some touch ups. The location is good for walking to Carborro and places around Chapel Hill so I guess that's why it's so high. But it was almost double...

s10sler, Thanks for your post. Glad you appreciated our location - you're right that the location is our most in-demand amenity, and the rates are usually reflective of what's going on in the area. Our rates are generally in the mid $200's for standard rooms, but do sometimes drop much lower in the slower summer months. As the hotel approaches...

Thanks for your candid review, David T. I'm sorry that our hotel fell short on so many fronts - we recognize the terrible inconvenience of having to park in the lot behind the hotel and walk back in the blistering heat. Not a great arrival experience nor a good way to start off the hotel stay. Since our parking garage...

Stayed here for one night with my two teenage boys. Immaculate room and very friendly staff. Beds very cozy. Bathroom has nice toiletries and was spotless as well. Keurig coffee maker in room was a nice touch to start the day. Would love to stay here on game day.

Uncdentist, Glad you enjoyed The Franklin with your sons. Game day is lots of fun at The Franklin, especially if you have a balcony to overlook Franklin and take in all the energy directly below. You'll have to make a plan to come back in the fall! Jay
