The lady - Kathy I think - older blond - was extremely nice up on registration. Our room was #103 - a handicapped room. Parking for handicapped is either up hill or down hill and at the front entrance, there is no ramp but a curb. The room was ok. The shower was a no step in. Water was fine, hot and good force. The fridge has no freezer so no freezing cold pack. The a.c. either froze us out or was warm and humid. At night we kept having to get up and turn it down as it is apparently on some sort of night timer that ;shuts the a.c. off but the fan blows. The Towels are really nice - better than at the Main Stay we stayed at last weekend. There was a corner strip falling off which could not be missed by housekeeping as well as the large base crack of the shower where it meets the floor as well as the shower hose leaking like a sieve. Breakfast was not much. Kathy was exuberant about the breakfast burritos, the bacon and the waffles. Well one out of 3 is not bad.. the waffles were good but on Thurs a.m. only one maker was working and a lot of people in line. Friday had 2 working. The burritos were packaged and in a cooler to heat up in microwave and no bacon. The lady who attends the breakfast area, kept it well supplied and cleaned tables as soon as someone left! She did a great job and is to be commended. Bed was ok as were the covers. The chair however when you went to get up, the arms went down significantly and had no stability. Our cards got shut off on Thurs and Kathy gave me the song and dance routine about phones, etc. One maybe both NO. What she should have said is I am sorry, here let me get you new cards rather than keeping on about how it was our fault and kept up her blame the customer routine. I had to walk from the back first floor door to the front desk and then back with out her saying so much as an I'm sorry. Yes, I do not think highly of her. And this is not my first hotel stay. Rooms facing the street will have a noise. Over all, it was fine for the 2 days we were there and did what was needed, provided us a place to sleep -…
The lady at the front desk was somewhat rude and not very helpful. My friend and I were on motorcycles and had been riding in the rain and were tired and wet. We just wanted to get dry and get some rest. It took some time to get checked in ( we were the only guests in the lobby). The room was so-so and we probably won't be back because of the attitude of the front desk.
We came into town and had another hotel booked but apparently it closed and no one told us! These kind folks took us in and found us a room and gave me a discount even. Very clean and very nice rooms. Nice pool area. Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast options.
Beware- No Choice Points honored when booking through CLC. I showed them my Choice Privileges card when checking in and was not informed that Points would not be honored for my 3 night stay. My company uses CLC Lodging and have roughly 50 employees traveling extensively. Stayed here early in 2021 and they honored CP Points but not this stay in April. Turns out they are under new management and will not honor Points when booking through CLC. They just lost a lot of business. There are other hotels in Bryson City and Silva to choose from.
Our room was a little small for four people, but we drove a long way to get away from the crowds in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hot cereals and muffins are available for breakfast. The breakfast area staff is very conscientious about keeping the creamers stocked.
