This is a historic inn but it is not maintained. Steps are rotting coming in main entrance to restaurant. The old building smell hits you when you come in the door. Bark siding on outside is full of holes. Floors are so uneven it isn't...More

The quaint Inn is rustic and has retained its charm from the 1920's. Accommodations are comfortable. The staff is very attentive to guests. Breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate. If the Lodge is too quaint the Fireside Suites will suit you well....More

the weather in mid march will probably not be conducive to outdoor activities. it tends to be cool and rainy plus the leaves are not back on the trees yet late april or may would be better

The train station is 5 minutes from the lodge. Bryson City is very small, so if anything is within the city, it won't take long to get to it. I don't know anything about the ballooning events. You might contact the lodge... More
