Overlooking the quiet village of Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Fryemont Inn offers you secluded comfort and excellent dining, warm fireplaces and scenic vistas. The beautiful bark-covered building was built in 1923 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Historic Inn and Dining Room are open mid-April through November. The authentic Historic Bryson city experience to stay here! Their 100th year! had two rooms-room 103 and 204. Loved our stay. your stay cost of room includes dinner and breakfast not to missed! Unique place with character to boot! We had views of the mountains from our rooms. great kind helpful staff. Why pay more for just the same old kind of place when you can stay in a living history kind of experience.

It has been a while since I've travelled, plus I was questioning why this venue was selected but as a good wife, I plunged in. I was not disappointed, and I feel in love with this place. It is so homey, a throwback to an era past but there it was, brought back in time. No television, no air conditioning, no heat but the bed was very comfortable. The room was so apportioned that I thought I was living in another era. It was one of the most fabulous experiences I've ever had in my travels. It is located near both the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Application Trail. Our room look out over the Smokey Mountains and the trees kept the temperature in our room comfortable and at times a bit coolish. It was 100 years ago this Inn was contracted from native timber. Everything is wood and there is lots of it throughout he premises. Large elevated from porch looking into the Smokies, lined with large rocking chairs. Surprisingly there is a large modern pool adjacent to the Inn. which was very refreshing. Meals (breakfast & supper) are provided. We used our stay as a base to hike some of the many trails. The location lends itself well to do this. In the lobby, the Inn provides myriad boardgames for those wishing for something to do during the many rain events we experienced. We played a great deal of cribbage. Good place just to sit back by the enormous fireplaces and read. I never dreamed a place like this existed and now I want to return. The Inn closes at the end of October and opens again in April. It has some modern accommodations separate but adjacent to the Inn. I believe the Freymont Inn has 37 rooms on two floors. We stayed on the second floor but if stairs are a problem for you, stay on the first. There are many stairs and the floors are uneven in many spots making it a challenge for those with trouble walking. There is a small bar area adjacent to the dining area with limited hours of operation. Employees and patrons alike are very nice and kind. Just like home.…

What a wonderful rustic and historic property. Perfect for relaxing in the mountains, but close to town and lots of activities. Staff are amazing - all of them are friendly and helpful and seem truly glad you are there and want to make your stay memorable.

I was visiting friends in Bryson City and suggested that we go to the Fryemont Inn to have a drink for old times sake. I had lived in Bryson City several years ago and the Fryemont was a place I frequented. We both ordered Old Fashions. After the first sip I told my friend that I might ask for another shot of Makers Mark because my drink was lacking liquor, but I didn’t. When I went to check out the bartender (Sarge) told me the total was $25 plus. I said “so these drinks were $12 each?” He said yes, why? I said “well they could have had a little more bourbon.” Sarge said, “ if you don’t like the drinks here you don’t need to come back.” I told him I might not. On my way out the door I told , Monica, the owner, about our experience. She was very calm in her response. Over all our visit to the Fryemont Inn was VERY disappointing. I missed you “Little George.”…

Decided to book a room after the hotel was recommended in a travel guide and Southern Living. We had originally planned to spend Friday night on Asheville and discovered that we could have a room, dinner and breakfast at the Fryemont for less than we would have paid for the room alone in Asheville. Loved the chestnut paneling, windows that slide open, giant fireplaces in the gray room and dining area and rocking chairs on the porch. Outdoor patio was lovely and swimming area looked tranquil, although it was closed in October. Hotel has some quirky features, but they were out mitigated by the overall charm of the hotel. Doors are left open until guests arrive so that everyone can see the rooms, the sink in our room (112) was only 1 foot from one of the beds making it hard to use at night without disrupting the person sleeping in it, the bathroom did not have a light switch—the fixture had to be turned on directly, the floor slopes on one side of the dining room. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything we tried for breakfast was delicious, especially pancakes with pecans and blueberries. Pecan crusted trout with lemon cream sauce was delicious and the lamb shank was very tender. Mac and cheese was good. Did not like the vegetables which were frozen, not fresh. Would definitely go back if we return to the area.…

Wonderful place to stay . Walking distance to downtown for great food, shopping and breweries. So much to do here like hiking, site seeing, zip lining white water rafting, snow skiing and everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The Grounds at the Inn are Beautiful!

This quaint little inn is tucked into the hillside overlooking Bryson City. We have visited several times. Breakfast and dinner are included in the room rate. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. We stayed in the balcony suites which have a TV, fireplace, king beds, kitchenette, living area, bath and a lovely balcony with two rocking chairs. In the evening we could hear caroling from the town. We also encountered roaches on our past two visits but with the wood in the building and surrounding trees that comes with the territory. We will return.

My first visit to the Fryemont Inn in Bryson City and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. The historic Lodge's history is very interesting and there is evidence of it throughout the hallways. The price was reasonable considering breakfast and dinner is included. I can't say enough about the meals....3 dinners and 2 breakfasts and everything was amazing! While waiting for the dinner reservation, the bar is the perfect place to relax with a French Broad Martini made by Amanda, the best bartender I've met in a long time. I will definitely stay here anytime I am headed to Bryson City.
