Fantastic hosts, Tony and Scott are very down to earth and happy to accommodate all your needs. The best part is the food that Scott cooks, oh my goodness does that man have a talent for the kitchen. The inn is also in a great spot, you need to rent a car in order to have the best experience possible.
My husband and I just spent 7 nights at the Folkestone Inn, using it as home base for exploring the Smoky Mountains NP. The location proved to be perfect for this, as it was away from the most congested areas of the park, but within a reasonable drive to everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed in the Wrens and Warblers room, and enjoyed its charming decor and balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. Toni was so helpful, with her direct and candid suggestions regarding where to go and what to see. Scott's breakfasts were scrumptious and creative, fortifying us each morning for our busy days ahead. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous long weekend at the Inn. Toni and Scott were warm and welcoming, and we felt very safe with their Covid protocol. The gourmet breakfasts were the best we've had at a bed and breakfast inn. The rooms were cozy and we felt so relaxed during our stay. Highly recommend this venue!
We spent 3 days at the Folkstone Inn recently. If you are looking for a cozy and relaxing retreat to come back to after a day of driving and sightseeing, this is your B&B! The owners, Scott and Toni, are both gracious hosts. Their attention to detail make their home worth visiting. Toni is a wealth of information about all things local. Scott's farm to table breakfasts were incredible! It was a savory feast each morning, including farm fresh eggs, house smoked and cured bacon, homemade cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins.....too much goodness! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The Folkstone Inn helped made our first visit to North Carolina memorable. Everything previous posts have mentioned is absolutely true. Scott made for us delicious breakfasts, often with choices I may overlook on a restaurant menu. They are far above the traditional bacon and eggs. We had such a variety and everything fresh and/or farm raised. We appreciated Toni's restaurant recommendations and headed to town on the first night. We had opted for the delicious bagged lunches each of the 5 days we were there. We were very pleased with this choice because we didn't get hungry until the end of the day! Also, we found out, most restaurants are closed Monday and Tuesday anyway. Toni and Scott also gave helpful tips about the area. Such a great place to enjoy before or after a busy day. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning; enjoying delicious coffee and beautiful scenes of mountains, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and of course the house cat, Jerry, who doesn't enter the house! Thank you for a memorable experience in Bryson City, North Carolina.…
