My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. I did a lot of research while planning our fall getaway and every review on the Scenic View Motel was great So I booked 4 nights 10/17-10/20 2016. The owners are indeed very welcoming and the motel quaint. Our room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfy with quality linens. The... More

I stayed in Scenic View when I was around 20 years old. I loved the view of the mountains. The grounds were gorgeous, the amenities were top-notch, and the owner who operated the desk was gracious, kind, and so very helpful. The place left a mark in my heart enough for me to write it into one of my novels.... More

Scenic View is a great economical option in Bryson City. It is a clean, old-style motel with updates of various kinds (in bathrooms, flooring, microwave, mini-fridge). Yes, it has a few rough edges but that’s what you get when you save big $ in comparison to sterile chain motels. We would stay there again without checking any other property in... More

We really enjoyed our stay with Jim and Peggy. The motel is conveniently located near Bryson City. There is an Ingle's grocery store less than 1/2 mile away, and the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. There are also two charcoal grills and a covered picnic area outside overlooking the train tracks and river. Our room was clean, they gave... More

I make the trip to Bryson City every year for family reunions and stay at the Scenic View Motel every time. The owners are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, treat you like family or better in come cases. The place is not new, however well maintained and super clean. Your not far from activates in the... More

If you want holes in the towels, bugs in the bathroom, and the tentative care that the slovenly owner brings to the table, this is the place for you! I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. The beds are hard, there is no "scenic view" >:( it's good family knows the owners or I don't know how much... More

My favourite stay I've had in America so far! was in town for five days to see a banjo maker and try to track down a musician in Bryson, Jim, Peggy and Sally were super friendly and Jim really went out of his way to help me track down the musician I was looking for. The motel was clean and... More

It's an older, cheap motel, not the Marriott. Yes the A/C is load, the walls are thin and everything is old and warn, but everything is clean and it's worth the $55 a night. The owners live there and are friendly and helpful, even if they are Tennessee Vols fans.

We came up on this little motel in 2001 on our first motorcycle trip through Bryson City. As the sign said "Spend The Nite Not A Fortune" and that was what we were looking for. We look for small local owned motels that are well maintained when we travel and this has been our best find yet. We spent 3... More

This is our second stay at this jewel of a motel. The owners are the two nicest people you could ever meet. The room was very clean with a larger than dorm fridge, microwave and flatscreen tv with expanded cable. The view from our front porch rocking was beautiful. I plan on returning next spring to stay a week. I... More
