This place is a nice getaway quite hotel and small restaurant. The breakfast - pumpkin pancakes melt in your mouth. The capers as a serving next to poached salmon cream cheese blueberry bagel... was an incredible experience.
This B&B is in a great location for visiting downtown Brevard. It is housed in an historic building with antique touches throughout. There were quirky things about our visit that makes the stay stand out. First this is at least the second B&B at this location with postings on line for both. The current name is the Campbell House. A bit confusing but it probably doesn't matter much as the calls all go to. Same location. The proprietor is friendly, accommodating and makes a great breakfast to order. At the same time she has a lot going on in her life which may interfere with a customer's sense of entitlement. The night we visited there was a card game going on in the dining room (immediately adjacent to the fireplace and sitting room which discouraged guests from "hanging out". In the morning she was trying to arrange repairs to a rental property and was consumed by those arrangements. In all, unless you want a lot of personal attention, this B&B suffices for a visit to Brevard.…
We spent 4 nights here in October and greatly enjoyed our stay. The Inn has a New Orleans flavor with a courtyard and 2d story balcony. The hosts, Luke and India, made us feel very welcome. We were very impressed with the selection at breakfast and the personal attention we received. They let us dry out our wet tent in the basement. We loved being located within walking distance to the heart of beautiful and active downtown Brevard. We hope to stay again!
Stayed here for four nights in September , We were made to feel very welcome by our helpful hosts. The hotel was nicely fitted out, clean and reasonably spacious. Luke and India (?) did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They made local recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. They also let us use washing and shoe drying facilities which really made a difference. We really liked Brevard as a base for the waterfalls, kayaking, Asheville, Biltmore, Chimney Rock Park and the Cradle of Forestry, all of which I would recommend. There are a couple of small details which could make this place perfect, like a bathroom update, but overall this was such a welcoming and relaxing stay that those details seem irrelevant.
Great location, very quick walk downtown to shops and dining. Very laid back atmosphere, quiet and comfy room. Breakfast was great, pretty much anything you want they can make. Also, they seem to have fixed the water pressure issue noted in some of the other reviews. Have recommended it to some family who will be headed that way soon and would definitely go back.
