A most unusual but most rewarding place to stay. This is an old country home that has been in the same family since the 19th century. As you might imagine renovations are a constant. Rooms vary in size but none are as small as you might find in a more usual B&B. Indeed, the "B&B" term doesn't really apply here....

Renovations are indeed constant. We really excited to have been refurbishing some receptions rooms which will greatly enhance our weddings. It would be misleading to think that the refurb impacts on your stay in the B&B part of the house - it does not. thank you for your insights and we hope to see you again.

We stayed at Temple House for one night in 2003 and always wanted to return. It still is what we remembered. The setting is extremely serene and very picturesque--sheep, a lake, and beautiful pastures every where. Host/owner Roderick is very pleasant, helpful, informative, and accommodating. He readily--if asked--shared the history of Temple House and the Percival family. Dinners and breakfasts...

This is not a B&B or a hotel, this is a unique "must do" experience to stay in a beautiful home and enjoy the splendour of living in times past but with modern day conveniences. Rodney & Helena are excellent hosts and provide not only excellent accommodation but an excellent dinner experience. The grounds too are lovely with walks and...

What can I add to what has been said before? Not much except to endorse all of the positive reviews. Staying at this property is like coming as a guest to someone's home, and what a home it is! The place is absolutely drenched in history, a fact that is brought home by the portraits of Roderick Perceval's ancestors lining...

I booked this as a bit of a treat for me and my companion during a 4 week trip to Europe, thinking it would offer something different from the normal B&B/ hotel/ apartment experience. And I got more than I bargained for! Temple House offers a lot more than a unique and luxury B&B - rich history, farm stay, walking/canoeing...

We attended a Valentines night banquet in Temple House, the location is superb and the host was welcomIng and attentive. The food was delicious with a hint of Chef Ottolenghi, portions were generous and the petit fours a welcome finale. I had dressed for an old country house with 5 layers so did not feel cold, some of our fellow...

Thank you. We enjoyed the evening too. It was a bit chilly to start despite our best efforts. We opened up especially for the evening and had the heating on full blast for 3 days prior to warm up thick walls. During the regular season this is never a problem.

My husband and I stayed at Temple House for three nights in September. The room was huge and gorgeous, the view stunning, the bathroom unique and lovely with adequate room to put our "stuff". The dogs were smelly and good dog-like company on walks, food very good (oh that brown bread). Guests gather in the cozy Morning Room before and...

Have just returned home after a three night stay in Temple House - my fourth or fifth visit at this stage. The warm and sincere welcome from Roderick and Helena got the weekend off to a great start. There is such a unique atmosphere in Temple House: hundreds of years of family history hinted at by the ruined Knights Templar...
