Roderick and Helena Perceval are the owners of this thousand acre estate that has been in Roderick's family for hundreds of years. The enormous home is furnished in antiques and gives guests insight into how the aristocracy lived centuries ago. The goal of the charming hosts is to bring together guests from far corners of the world to share fine...

"share fine meals, drinks and conversation" Thank you. Conversation is so important - dining at the vast mahogany table is great fun, be it for dinner or a lazy breakfast.

Wow! What an incredible place in an absolutely fabulous setting. There's a feeling of royalty and elegance yet it was homey and comfortable. Roderick and his wife are perfect hosts that pull it all together. Be sure to put your reservation in for an evening meal - unforgettable.

Temple House is a great opportunity to take a step back in time and enjoy the splendour and glamour enjoyed by the Landed Gentry in years gone bye. The historical ruins, the open parkland, the lake and the mucky lane ways which you are encouraged to put on a pair of wellies and go explore are a must see. The...

Des, Thanks for the feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay although disappointed that you did not find dinner to your liking. We take great care in our evening meals in the dining room. All food is fresh, local and made in our kitchen. Country house cooking at its best as opposed to restaurant dining. We hope you will return...

This is one of the best country houses I have had the pleasure to stay. I stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights to explore Sligo. The owner and host - Rodney - was very friendly, charming and polite. The rooms were beautiful, romantic and designed as you would expect for a historical country manor. I would be definitely...

This house is an architectural gem hidden near Ballymote in county Sligo. The house is wonderful on the inside also with impressive plaster work on ceilings and cornices. Roderick was our host and he has an easy going and welcoming manner which makes the visitor relax from the outset. The room was looking out towards the extensive lake on the...

Well, if not one of a kind certainly there are not many B&B's at such an elegant manor house. Roderick was a charming host and very helpful in the process of getting our lost luggage delivered. The rooms we had were huge and very distinctive. The breakfast is very nice. It was a pleasant change to be out in the...

We have been staying with Roderick and Helena at Temple House a few times a year since 2008. We bring small groups here with us whenever we are in the area and it is always a highlight of our guests experience with us. We have come to think of Roderick and Helena as family we are visiting and we are...

I just returned from three and a half magical weeks in Ireland. Temple House was part of that amazing trip and gets my highest praise. The setting is incredible and my afternoon out with the provided wellies exploring the beautiful grounds is a memory I will cherish always. After learning of the hidden Ireland website, I discovered the Temple House. Pastoral surroundings with sheep and lambs galore dotting the fields as you drive through the gate. As you approach the house, pictures and travel websites do not do it justice. Daunting. Imposing. Stunning. These are a few words that come to mind and once you enter the main...
