This is not just a place to stay, it is a place to experience. The house itself is steeped in history, such an interesting place to be. Beautiful grounds, expansive rooms, yet a warm and cosy atmophere. We threw a 40th birthday party and the house was like our own. What a fun day and night. Great house, great food,...

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. 5 stars is not enough! If you are looking for a place to celebrate your wedding than look no further, Temple house is the place to have it. Robert and I married here in August this year and were overwhelmed by the support of Roderick , Helena, Valerie and all the staff at...

Temple House would represent a Estate from a era long past. The wonders of the Estate could keep you busy for days of exploring and adventure. Temple House alone will keep you busy with history of the family and the excellent food and wines provided. There are times when all that is adequate is to say 'you have to experience...

I went to Ireland with friends. This place was top of my list of places I stayed. Why. The beauty and age of it. The history. The lake, the land. The crumbling castles on it from the age of Knights Templar to the O'Hara Castle. I was taken back by it's beauty. I photographed everything I could. The days can...

"Don't stay in" You are right - a stay here is so much more than a choice of bedroom. thank you.

This was by far so much more than I expected. We were made to feel so comfortable and welcome. Food was good and it was a great place to meet others traveling. They light a fire each night and everyone meets in the living room, then dines at a large table in the dinning room. So much fun.

'Loved the combination of history, comfort, and delicious food. Breakfast was good but dinner was superb: an interesting seafood crumble, tender beef and a fantastic roulade. After dinner we sat by the fire in the morning room with the other guests. This is a family home (albeit a much larger one than most of us live in) and a working...

Thanks Sharon. We appreciate your comments. The taxi firm you used was the Doddy's from Ballymote. We find them very helpful too.

Of all the places we've been and all the places we'll go, Temple House is one place we'll never forget - a unique combination of house, room and grounds to explore- all hosted by an extremely personable owner. We're a family of 3 who stayed 1 night. We were greeted by Temple House owner Roderick Perceval and the other house...

Booked a 2 night luxury break with 3 course meal 1. No menu so no choice of food 2. 1000 acres of land equate to long drive in and sheep field. Forest walk which was meant to take 45 mins took 1 hour 30 minutes as we got lost, no signage and inadequate maps instructions. Also unkept so trampled through...

You booked a 2 night stay at a ‘Country Manor’ through a third party website. You then turn up looking for a ‘Hotel’. Quite simply we are not a hotel and you clearly did not appreciate that. We don’t run a restaurant – we don’t offer a choice at dinner. We do cook everything very fresh and with great care....

I went to Temple House about fifteen years ago, and always wanted to go back. It was as lovely as I remembered. The views are amazing, with the lake and sheep grazing in the meadows, and the two castle ruins in the background. Roderick and Helena are delightful hosts, friendly, full of great stories about the estate which has been...

Temple House is an amazing piece of living history. Our hosts, the Percevals, and their staff were gracious and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious. It was delightful to meet and interact with other guests. Temple House also offers dinners and ours was wonderful. We enjoyed an excellent meal and conversation with the other guests. We had connecting rooms that provided...
