Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family of four stayed in one of their cabins for one night and we will be so happy to return in the future. The cabin is so cozy and charming. My children LOVED the loft upstairs and waking up to the owners friendly dogs on our porch! Such a pleasure dealing with the owner, I have already spread the word to friends where I live if they want a getaway that is not far from home but makes you feel like you are and all for an affordable price. I can't wait to return! Really looking forward to an end of summer trip to do the horseback riding they offer on site as well. Thank you SO much for an awesome weekend trip for our family!

This adorable cabin was the perfect fit for my husband and I and our chocolate lab. Warm and cozy on a chilly December night. We were a last minute booking and the owners were gracious to take care of us, even though they were busy celebrating the kids being out of school for Christmas. The cabin has everything necessary for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Its was totally great and perfect. We will stay there possibly on our honeymoon and any chance we can get away for a day or 2. The owners were wonderful people. The 2 dogs they have are so friendly and just loved the whole atmosphere. Thanks again.

We went for a business trip but from time to time we mix it with some pleasure. My hubby surprised me with this cabin. The "nut house" was perfect, a bit up the hill to walk but we needed the exercise. The Sosa's were great and we made two cute friends Tulip and Miley. Who greeted us each morning with wagging rails. Great relaxing place. Mark & Jenny James

We had a wonderful weekend at VC Farm. The Sosa family was friendly and intelligent. The Nut House cabin was a lil walk up hill but it was so peaceful the only noise was the birds and squirrels. Not a view from the cabin its just tucked in the trees on the mountain. The horse back riding was slow and steady around the mountain the horses where well trained and healthy. We hope to spend another weekend there very soon!

We were looking around for cabins near Grand father mountains and this one came accidentally (thanks to Google !!)..From the photos posted by earlier visitors we decided to take a chance with the cabin and we selected Nut house. We were two couples and nut house was just perfect for us. We reached a little early and owners allowed us early check-in which helped us to get settled and they were our local guides in explaning the best places around (expertise for free of cost !!)..this helped us to sort out the list of places from the list we prepared from internet. The nut house is located uphill i.e above the bear house..it has an excellent view from balcony and is surrounded by trees and excellent canopy breaks the summer heat and chirping soothes your ears. A perfect place to

This is a true hidden gem! Location can't be beat... Close to all ski resorts, Grandfather Mountain, Boone. The scenery is beautiful with lots of trails and woods. The owners are very friendly and willing to meet every need or answer any question. Cabin was very clean, quiet, private, and more than enough room for our family of 4. The value for the money can't be beat! We recommend Valle Crucis Farms to everyone!

We enjoyed visiting VC Farms for a long weekend. My family of 4 fit comfortably in the Bear Cabin. The loft was perfect for my children. The entire Sosa family was welcoming and included my family in their activities. The cabin was immaculate! The property was beautiful! The location was convenient to all the area has to offer. It was a home away from home! We will definitely stay with them again the next time we are in the area.

My husband and I had a lovely weekend at the VC Farm we went the first weekend in October. First off, we stayed in The Nuthouse cabin, which was clean and cozy and it had all of the amenities that we needed for a wonderful evening and a good night's sleep. In addition, we went on an enjoyable trail ride which was tailored just for us and our riding abilities. (If you stay in one of the cabins, then you are pretty much guaranteed a spot on one of their trail rides.) And the horses were sure footed and dependable. My horse Meg was especially sweet and eager to please. Then late afternoon, we enjoyed sitting in the gazebo that sits adjacent to the stream that runs through the property, while we watched the horses lazily grazing their hay in the pasture and the sun slowly

We stayed in the Bear Cabin this time (stayed in the Nut House several years ago) and were just as pleased this time, as the last. The Sosa family treats you as family and we were welcomed warmly. The cabin was warm, comfy and very clean. Two adults and a pre teen in a cabin on the side of a mountain, we up to see the fall foliage, hike the viaduct trail and do other fallish things, and it rained. I was worried our trip was ruined, but I ought not have been. We fished in the rain in the stream on the property. No fish were biting, but we sure had fun! Sat in the cover gazebo swing and just enjoyed the sounds of the creek, the horses and togetherness instead. The rays of sun interspersed with the rain, and the beautiful color of the trees around us. We played games in
