This is my second time here. The room was extremely clean. Pretty. For a small room, we have the smallest available, it is set up very well. (The only issue is the sink partially blocks the toilet but no biggie.) It is very walk-able to everything in town. Nice areas to sit near the stream. They did really well with covid precautions. Will be returning soon!

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed in deluxe room 15 from August 20-25 and let me just say, it was the best decision we've made during these COVID times for a little getaway. From the safety measures to the kind staff and fabulous room, all was just perfect. The entire inn's layout is great with no hallways to walk and all separate entrances to rooms from outside. Room 15 was just beautiful with a very comfortable bed with great linens and many fluffy pillows. The mini kitchen had exactly everything we needed and we were surprised at the size of the medium fridge versus a real mini. The bathroom was spectacular and both the shower and spa tub may or may not have caused us to overuse water during our stay. The creek swimming was so refreshing and we had a blast jumping off the top rocks into the deep end and enjoying social distancing conversation with other folks staying at the inn. Everyone was very respectful. Walking into Woodstock village was a full 4 mins (we timed it) and had some delicious meals in town as well as take out. Even enjoyed listening to great music at the Colony in their back field with stage and picnic tables with umbrellas distanced 20 feet apart from each other. We also went up to the Boiceville Ashokan Rail Trail one morning and biked the trail for miles. Wow! What a view the entire ride. Just majestic. Relaxing with a cold cocktail and a good book in the evening or sitting out under the stars in the many different seating areas around the property was enjoyed by all. Thank you to the owner, Karen - who runs this fantastic inn and is as friendly and conversational as you would expect. 5 stars all the way!

Very sad to have to write this review. All I can say is that even if you have a reservation you can't be sure that this place won't cancel you for someone else. And I live locally even and had confirmed (even was given the room numbers) Here's the backstory: In late January I booked two rooms for Sept 4th. Even went so far as to call and speak to someone to confirm the reservation (and payment) and was given the actual room numbers. I let them know this was for my "wedding" on Sept 4th and that these rooms were for the band. Who are also playing at the Colony in Woodstock the next day. To get to the point, I received a phone message on Feb 28th late at night that they were refunding the payment (in full which was required at the reservation time). When I called they didn't even bother to apologize or anything. They just didn't care. They blamed in on Expedia. When I called Expedia they explained the process and how they have nothing to do with it and the Inn had obviously made a mistake. Expedia was great, even called the Inn to confirm the mistake. Expedia apologized for the inconvenience despite the fact that the Inn was at fault. The Inn never even apologized...

Cute little postage stamp room. We stayed in room 6, one of the basic rooms, and it was extremely tiny but clean and cozy. We only stayed for 1 night so it was perfect. The grounds were beautiful too and everyone was following distancing guidelines

We booked a room for two at the Woodstock Inn on the Millstream through Expedia based on it being a hotel close to Hunter Mountain. Expedia stated it was 12 miles away. In fact it was 23.1 miles and a 40 minute drive. The room photograph featured on Expedia showed a room that was spacious and large with 2 twin beds. In fact, the room was 10'x12', truly a postage stamp room. Also, no breakfast was served and there was no mention of that anywhere. We understand there is a pandemic, but we could have been advised. This is more of a motel than an inn. When I called the owner on the false advertising, she was rude and businesslike. I would not recommend this motel.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We wish your stay had been more enjoyable. As the innkeeper explained, Expedia controls the content of property features on its site. We have reviewed our listing and are unable to find any references to Hunter Mountain, so we're unsure how that wrong information was affiliated with our property. And yes, because everyone's safety is our priority during COVID-19, we eliminated our buffet breakfast, and the Expedia listing reflects that food is currently not available on site. (However, guests can always enjoy warm beverages with our in-room Keurigs, and many area restaurants offer to-go and delivery, so meals can be enjoyed in the rooms or on the grounds.) Our petite (and lovely!) standard rooms are depicted accurately in the images, but we suspect you may have preferred a larger deluxe room. As everyone’s travel needs and budgets are different, we always encourage guests to contact the innkeeper directly for a personalized room recommendation, and to book with us directly for more flexibility. We do hope your next getaway is more peaceful.
