My husband and I visited Hunter Mt. for Ahimsa Yoga Festival. We arrived on Friday afternoon and met our gracious host Jude. She lit a fire as soon as we arrived, offered coffee, tea, water, beer, wine and made some fresh baked goods. She mentioned that breakfast would be served every day at 8am. After finding out that we were there for the Yoga Festival she said that she can serve breakfast at 7am since we probably were going to be at the yoga festival early. We were very appreciative of this since our first class was at 8am. The next few mornings breakfast was amazing. The place was clean and very charming. Jude was personable and genuine. We would visit Catskill Lodge again in the future.
Cute bed and breakfast with great food! Jude was an amazing host and the pet friendly room was perfect for our dog! The private door to outside makes it very easy to take your dog out. The hot tub was a huge plus too!
Wow, words can't describe how awesome our time was at the Catskill Lodge. We were so pleased to see that even with the bad weather, there was lots for us to do. There's games and movie screens, a gym across the street (super cool old church turned into a recreational facility - day pass $15), coffee shop and restaurants down the street (.2 miles). We had a full kitchen and fridge to keep all of our meals fresh and easy for us to cook. Breakfast was delicious and made for us whatever time we wanted. Besides the beautiful lodge itself, JUDE (the housekeeper) was incredibly sweet and welcoming. This rustic feel made us fall in love with the place - will definitely be back.
The host/creators of this bed and breakfast are incredible. The location is uniquely designed and welcoming. The bedroom we were in on the 1st floor had old and loud pipes during the end of winter, but we were able to ignore it for the cost of this place. And it is worth every penny. I'd rather stay here than any hotel. It's a quiet area and peaceful enough to see the stars outside. The breakfast was full, filling and elaborate. Everything we ate was incredible. They introduced us to vanilla bean greek yogurt and homemade blueberry jam. There was also a great bread pudding. You must stick around for breakfast. Also worth enjoying, is the hot tub outside. Especially after a good snow. It's romantic, but also good for friends. They even offered a dvd sections with a great collection of movies to borrow.
We stayed for two nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hospitality was exceptional, from festive cupcakes and pumpkin bread one evening to a cozy fire in the woodstove the next. Would definitely stay again.

Thanks for your question! As mentioned above, we don't have any refrigerators or microwaves in the guest rooms, but guests are welcome to make use of our common kitchen. There is a full size fridge just for guests and you would be welcome to leave anything there that you like. We have had guests in the past who keep kosher for meals, and typically they have simply requested vegetarian options at breakfast (which we prepare in dishes that are not used for meat) and then made use of our kitchen to prepare their own lunches and dinners. We're always happy to try to accommodate any other requests with a bit of advance notice. There are many great options in the area with vegetarian options and that would happily accommodate special requests. There is also a great restaurant in Hudson (Park Falafel & Pizza, about 30 min away) that is certified Kosher/Kashrut and has a wide variety of prepared salads, soups, desserts, etc. - some guests have stocked up there on the way to the B&B so they have great picnic options stashed in the fridge for the weekend. If you have questions or if we can be of further help please feel free to contact us directly or message again. Hope to see you soon! - Sarah & Tony, innkeepers
