We stayed here for 2 nights in December and absolutely loved it. We found the house easily and were met by John and Lee who instantly made us feel right at home, made us a cup of tea and showed us around their beautiful guest house. We were staying in the separate cottage which was absolutely great and has its...

Flaxhaven Lodge is lovely but for the money i think we expected more. Compared to all the other accommodation we stayed in in NZ this was the most expensive and although the location is attractive i don't think it justifies the price. The hosts are a pleasant and interesting couple but some guests may be put off by company during...

I stayed at the Flaxhaven Lodge for 4 days during a photography holiday in the Coromandel. John & Lee proved to be superb hosts & readily offered the local knowledge expertise I was seeking in order to access top spots in the region.. I found the accommodation clean, contemporary & well appointed, set in lush gardens. The breakfasts were brilliant...

We finished a two-week tour of Australia and NZ by staying with John and Lee at Flaxhaven. They have such a peaceful, beautiful home, and their guest wing was no different. It was nicer than a regular tiny hotel room because we had a little sitting area with a TV, couch and fridge (which had a bottle of sparkling wine...

We recently stayed at Flaxhaven Lodge & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our hosts - John & Lee - were extremely friendly & knowledgeable about the Cormandel region & gave us lots of useful tips - they even helped us find an alternate driving route to our next destination. The breakfasts were fabulous - a combination of fresh fruits, museli &...

A lovely and welcoming B&B. John and Lee were the perfect hosts and gave us good advice on local amenities. We very much enjoyed our all too brief stay and can thoroughly recommend Flaxhaven Lodge to everyone. Sonia and Keith Glenn

This was our last b & b on our North Island trip and we certainly went out in style! What a wonderful place, so beautifully and stylishly appointed and so relaxing. We stayed in the guest wing and had our own sitting room and two terraces. The garden was delightful John & Lee made super breakfasts, including some of John's...

We chose Flaxhaven based on the reviews here, and we were not disappointed. It's a lovely house with a beautiful garden, and John and Lee are very warm and helpful hosts. We stayed in the guest wing, and it was very quiet and felt private. The sitting room opens onto the garden, and it was so relaxing to just sit...

We stayed here for 3 nights in both the separate cottage and in the suite of rooms attached to the house. Both were excellent with the only difference being that the cottage had a proper kitchen sink and a microwave (there was a fridge in both). The place is very tastefully furnished and immaculately clean and Lee and John had...
