My husband and I stayed for three nights after we got married. Walpole Wilderness Resort was the perfect place to unwind and have some peace and quiet after a few frantic weeks of last minute wedding-prep. Our cottage was lovely and tidy. There are three bedrooms, with room for up to 6 people. The kitchen was equipped with everything that...

A last minute decision and one we won't regret! Hosts were extremely accomodating, with the perfect balance of hospitality and respectful space. Spa has an amazing view and the bed was heavenly after a hike.

We stayed just two nights but it was peaceful and relaxing. We had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and beautifully set out. The kitchen was well equipped and the spa is the main bedroom is a bonus. I would reckon for a quiet get away. The cottages have 3 bedrooms so suitable for a friends holiday away together...

Beautiful Cottage in the Bush :-) The host is friendly. The Cottage is big with a kitchen, dining room, bathroom (including washing machine and dryer) and bedroom. In the bedroom you have a whirlpool – really lovely. There are a lot of kangaroos on the lawn.

We stayed between Christmas and New Year and expected warm weather. Not to be. It was raining all the time and freezing. We did use the electric blanket. There is a wood fire for the winter months but as it was fire ban season there was no heating allowed. The cottage is lovely with everything you could want. If you choose...

We were looking forward to meeting the local kangaroos who frequent the grounds of the Resort, and we were not disappointed - being met by at least 30 on the way up the drive! The Roos are completely wild, so do not approach cars etc, but they are used to people in the cottages and just move around the fields/grounds...

We arrived to be met by loads of kangaroos which pretty much set the bar for the rest of our stay. We were expecting a standard wooden lodge, but were delighted with the level of comfort and attention to detail , it was just fab. There were three spacious bedrooms, the master had a jacuzzi bath with windows on two...

We really enjoyed our cabin stay. Spacious, well equiped, peaceful, private, very clean, beautiful grounds and very cute kangaroos! The location was not too far from town. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed to attend a friend's wedding nearby. Hidden retreat in the beautiful forests of the Walpole area. Simple and perfectly relaxing with nothing but the sights and sounds of nature at your doorstep. Well maintained homes and everthing needed for a perfect getaway. No mobile reception - wonderful 😀
