My daughter and I recently visited the southern region of Western Australia and stayed two nights at Nomads bed and breakfast in Mt Barker, close to the Porongorup hills where we went for hikes. We enjoyed very interesting chats with our hostess, Robyn, who has visited many parts of the world. She and her husband, Vince, were so impressed with...

Thank you Peter & Soraya. It was a pleasure to have you stay & thank you for such a lovely write up. The 2 boys, joeys are doing well and I now also have a tiny little 1.3 kg joey arrive named Savana. She is just starting to get interested in putting her feet on the ground then straight back...

Fantastic place to stay not ONLY because of the extremely friendly hosts Robyn and Vince but because of the amazingly unique stay in an authentic yurt (ger); it was comfortable and spacious, colourful and quirky. There are also rescue roos at the property which we could feed whuch absolutely thrilled my parents over from England and might have made their...

I had stayed in the excellent fully self contained Chalet - truly a home from home with every mod con for absolute comfort. Owners Vince and Robyn were my hosts and provided a warm welcome on arrival and gracious hospitality throughout my stay. Nothing was too much. Along with the great accommodation was a cooked breakfast to set one up...

Thank you for the very generous review. We are happy when people are comfortable & we can meet their needs. For us, the accommodation stay is as important as the guests holiday in our region. The app. you did is great & already 2 people now have it on their phones.

Vince and Robyn are lovely people who went out of their way to make us feel at home in their house. And then there was the unexpected treat of the kangaroos! Let me explain... When we arrived and Vince realised I was traveling with my mother, he spontaneously offered to give us 2 separate rooms as the 1 we booked...

Would you expect to find Mongolian Yurts in Mount Barker? We certainly did't and it's what attracted us to this place. The yurts themselves are impressive and faithfully recreated but do have some limitations in terms of light, lack of bathroom (you use one in the house) and a slight musty smell that I suspect is somewhat inevitable given their...

Thank-you for staying at Nomads Guest House and for sending a lovely review. Yes, some times it does have a slight musty odor but you have to appreciate this is an authentic traditional Yurt which is totally wrapped in half inch thick felt lining as well as 2 layers of canvas. It also hasn`t helped with Mount Barker having it`s...

What a great spot, great night and fab hosts. We stayed in one of the yurts, which was really fun and really comfortable. The amenities were just what we needed and the hosts were able to give us some really great tips and ideas for the local area. We arrived with doing some walking in mind. We were within easy...

We only stayed 1 night but found we were made to feel welcome. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Seeing the rescued kangaroos and the small baby was a great experience. Location was good on the edge of the small town with a couple of places to have dinner.

We have stayed at a lot of places & would rate this experience highly. Vince & Robyn were happy, friendly, generous hosts. The yurts were a special experience & despite the foul weather, we were cosy & warm! We felt very welcome & the kids loved the space, kangaroos, chooks & sheep. Special shout out to Vince from our 12...

Thanks for the lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you & get to know you. Your full of life & we thoroughly enjoyed your company. Hope the woolen jumpers you bought from Warries have been put too good use.

Thanks Robyn and Vince, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a traditional yurt. The rescue kangaroos and sheep made it all the better for my daughter and she now is asking for a yurt as her own bedroom! We extended our stay as it was so pleasant and peaceful. Only (slight) problem was walking to the bathroom at night.

Thank you for the kind response and thank you for pointing out that the bathroom is a short walk. As Mongolian Yurts don`t have bathroom facilities in them this information is good for any future guests who might be thinking of booking the Yurt.
