My wife and I have traveled to many wonderful places throughout the years, and we must say that the Chimes Spa Retreat, falls right at the top of the list as an excellent getaway. Beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms that are spacious and luxurious. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, from the owners to every other staff member the culture to please...

Chimes was really pleasant and the staff helpful. Be sure to walk to the Southern End Restaurant which is 200m away on a private path if you are there at a weekend. The breakfast room is rather lovely and the views terrific. We will be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Chimes. Our room was beautiful and clean with an extremely comfortable bed. We loved having the spa bath in the room and it was so nice to cosy up inside when it was cold and wet outside. Having such an array of DVDs was also great. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed! The homemade...

Having stayed at chimes before for girlie weekends was keen to take my husband and friends back! I was disappointed compared to my previous stays! Our room wasn't serviced daily! No fresh towels and we had placed our wet ones on ground, sign says if you want replaced to do this! On previous times Ted always gets put in different...

My husband and I had a few days away before the farmer's busy time-silage. We were delighted by the setting, the hosts and the facilities. It was gorgeous that you could make a cuppa at any hour of the day and in the late afternoon we could help ourselves to afternoon tea. The spa facilities were excellent and meant that...

Having read through a bunch of previous reviews on Chimes I am absolutely stunned at all the negative remarks as my experience of this place was nothing short of amazing. The view was to die for, although no one can really argue with that. The service from both the staff and the owners was first class. They were friendly, personable...

We just spent 2 nights in a garden view suite. We were warmly welcomed into a clean, romantic setting, complete with a large spa bath with a view, candles, chocolates on bed, 24hr tea, coffee facilities, wood fire and even help yourself communal port in the evening. The buffet continental breakfast was more than adequate, but we treated ourselves to a...

We had an excellent 2-hour experience at the hamam at Chimes Spa. It was so relaxing and the treatments were amazing. We highly recommend it. We'll definitely come back. There are different pools with different temperatures. The massages and scrubs were amazing. We didn't want to leave!

Hairs found in the spa and shower area, did not seem like it had even been cleaned between guests and did not make it feel like a 5 star spa retreat. Old and dated. Service was good when we arrived but prior email communication was a little rude.

We were afforded first class treatment in a first class location. A great combination of a luxurious room in a quality building with a world class view make Chimes a "must do" place to stay. The staff were also extremely accommodating and welcoming, which helped to make the stay relaxing and rejuvenating. Chimes is ideally suited to the location and...
