We arrived at the b&b and were warmly greeted by Robyn. She made us feel very at home. The room was terrific. It was spotless and nicely furnished. The best was the bed and linen!! Lovely. I recommend

I stayed overnight at Arika Retreat a while ago and really liked the place. I arrived quite late, but Robyn, the owner, gave me a lovely friendly welcome and had prepared the spa for me. It was great to unwind in the hot tub after a long drive and I enjoyed the little touches to the setting. The room was...

I don't even want to give this place the time of day. The accommodation is way overpriced; The owner completely uncaring; And the experience leaves me very disillusioned about what should be a lovely town.

I have lovely things to say regarding my stay at Arika Retreat. The room is large, clean and very private with own courtyard and beuatiful Japanese hot tub which we spent most of our time in, unique for a well priced B&B. The inhouse food was delicious and service more than friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the walk into the...

This has to be one of the worst B & B experiences I have ever had. A dank, damp and soulless accomodation, touted as a "Japanese style retreat". Don't waste your money and precious time. This is billed like a 4 star but really rates at most as 1 star. Highly dissatisfying. As for the owner's restaurant. Awful! Enough said.

I'm afraid this little place fell foul of the poor pound/dollar exchange rate which made it rather expensive for what it was. We paid 25% more than we thought we were going to - hotel price rather than B&B - nobody's fault but painful nonetheless. Basically it is a converted area under the owner's house with a large bedroom/living/kitchen area...

well B&B actually means accommodation attached to owners house and I have made it quite separate for privacy. I understand the costs of things have soared the price the of spa was higher, as like anything organic, costs more,I was using a non chemical product which was twice the cost and more work, now I don't so have included the...
