I would have liked to be completely positive about our stay in Hotel Avenida. We were welcomed nicely and our room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were luxurious. The WiFi was great. We chose to be in this part of town, reasonably near the bus station, so we had no problem with the...

I stayed at Avenida during my Camino walk and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. Very spacious, large windows and bathroom. Good wifi signal too. The real plus is the outstanding service offered by the hotel owner Borja. He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. This level of hospitality is not often seen anymore!

I was a bit concerned because this hotel had quite a low star rating but it was one of the biggest, cleanest rooms I enjoyed while walking the Portuguese Camino. Comfy bed and decent bedroom. Service was friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent hotel. While it is rated a 3 star, the hotel rooms are spacious, and aesthetically appointed with comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel is conveniently located to the train station - a 5 minute walk on smooth sidewalk. We had a back room on the 3rd floor that was quiet, even though there was some action...

Welcoming receptionist who gave us all the information we needed when arriving in a town we didn't know. Large bedroom on the 7th floor - comfortable beds, good size bathroom. Relatively quiet despite being on the main road. Lunch in the hotel was tasty although the restaurant was fairly characterless. Bar was atmospheric for a coffee afterwards. Breakfast was average:...

Perfectly satisfactory for our brief stay, but you may seek a little more comfort if you are intending to stay longer and explore the region. Rooms were clean and the bathroom fine although slightly dated. Front desk was very helpful and spoke excellent English with some good restaurant recommendations. We did not take breakfast so cannot comment. The centre of...

This is a great mid-range hotel. It is located close to the Camino and nearby shopping and old city Portevedra. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower in my room was the best--seriously the best. I'd go back there just for the shower. The breakfast was adequate. The host was excellent. He gave me a city map, located all...

This was a beautiful hotel on the way into Pontevedra (not far off the Camino de Santiago route) which is a vibrant town with lots of shops, museums and churches (except on Sunday when everywhere except for restaurants and bars were closed). Right next door there is an awesome patisserie (really fantastic mini pastries - you could eat and eat!)....

After a day walking and being blown about, we enjoyed this hotel. It is a bit noisy. The hotel is in a new area but we were able to walk a bit more to a very lively square where there was lots going on. This was in the Old Town. We had a light evening meal and then back to...
