This is a beautiful, immaculate, friendly little boutique hotel in a lovely part of Anacapri, away from the throngs and with wonderful views. The staff are affable and attentive, breakfast was pleasant and the pool - if a little cold in early October - charming....More

Absolutely fantastic place to have a peaceful, elegant, charming stay in heaven. The level of service, the sense of hospitality, and the friendliness of the entire staff make you want to stay there forever!
Perfect hotel if you want to stay in Anacapri and get away from the tourist heavy area of Capri. Far less tourists here and it’s far more authentic which is what we were looking for. The hotel is located about 10 mins from the city...More

Hello. The "upstairs rooms", which we were in, have a private patio with a beautiful sea view. The road is between the hotel and sea, but you can't see it from these room. And there's not enough traffic to hear any road noise. There's not much traffic anywhere in Anacapri. I wasn't in any of the "downstairs" rooms, which are on the same level as reception as you walk in. I heard from guests that the only noise they heard in the downstairs rooms was noise from people up and about in the morning as those room doors are adjacent to and visible from reception. My guess is that the view from the downstairs rooms is more vegetation than sea, but that's just a guess. In our upstairs room we heard no road noise and no lobby/people noise. We'll stay there again, and we'll almost certainly try to stay in the same room. It's not a big room and bathroom isn't big either. But, compared to most hotel rooms in Italy and Manhattan and such, this was a much larger room. I have absolutely no regrets and wouldn't change thing about our stay at Orsa Maggiore. The room we stayed in was very quiet...
Things to consider: Outside of going to bed and sleeping, how much time will you really spend in your room? This hotel is very quiet, relaxed, and secluded. You'll need use the hotel's driver to take you to Capri, but you can easily walk to Anacapri, as we did every day/night. It's a nice walk.
I hope this helps!
