Stayed here for two weeks in September and glad we did, we just wanted to chill out by the pool, with a couple of trips thrown in which is exactly what we got - the price reflected the property, clean, with all you need, if you’re expecting 5* pay for it - the pool is adequate and the beach is about a 15 minute walk but not commercialised, but with crystal clear water and worth a visit. Anthony Quinn Bay is about 15 minutes by Taxi which costs about €15 each way but well worth it as it’s a really really nice bay if a little busy even in September. Rhodes town and Lindos are also easily reachable by local bus, and also worth doing also. The bus stops to both are a short walk, along with a well stocked supermarket and the nearest town is not too far either with restaurants and bars (Taxi fare about €8) and there are a few pretty good restaurants near by also - Hidden Garden, Flora, and the Old House. (All reviewed on Trip-advisor). The Hotel is close to the main road which runs along the coast which can be busy and noisy but certainly didn’t put me off the place, off course it would be nicer if you could listen to the sea but instead but I’m sure it would be priced accordingly - The staff are all an asset to the place, Billy and Ged try and make your stay memorable and Ged will certainly make you laugh particularly at the quiz night. A small hotel which they try and make everyone feel like family and encourage all to take part. We had a great time as we made great friends with a great group of people and laughed and enjoyed our trip so much! Highly recommended!

Previous two holidays here have been in August when it has been much busier and much hotter, which suits us but it was still hot at 28deg which for October we are told is unusual. It was quite different this trip as we were approaching the end of season and many of the restaurants were closed during the week. We had a supermarket within a few yards (closed Sunday) and food served at Nimar is very good and reasonably priced, however, this had limited opening too during the day as the week went on (open in the evening). Our experience here is that Billy and his staff bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable, nothing is too much trouble. We always look at it with an open mind, we are on a beautiful island blessed with lovely weather surrounded by lovely welcoming people and try to respect that it is a different way of life to home. Yes we are here as tourists but we have always felt as though we are welcome guests here more as friends than people here just to spend money, The way of life is so laid back and relaxing and that is one of the biggest attractions for us here. Family life is important to the Greeks, some places closed on Sundays which we heard some Brits complaining about, so what? You can find many things to complain about (guests smoking on balconies to their rooms, cats everywhere, limited variety of food etc;) Nearly everyone here smokes as they do in many European countries, yes there are a lot of cats (most of them strays that the guests feed frequently, no wonder they keep coming to the balconies), the cuisine is Greek cuisine, it's what they eat ! In my opinion for what it is worth, you can complain about anything or everything but I don't think there's much to complain about here. We don't usually make a habit of returning anywhere but we love it here, no kids, always a Sunbed round the very clean pool, lovely hosts, it's not for everyone located on a main dual carriageway (often noisy) but with the relaxing chilled out music playing round the pool you hardly notice it. The rooms are lovely and clean, you can hardly hear the traffic with the door closed and even with the door open I think you switch off to it eventually. If you let things bother you too much stay away but if you are prepared to adapt to the Greek way of life and chill out, put some of the negatives you read in the reviews to the back of your mind, you can't fail to enjoy it here. ***Hopefully this review will be helpful, taken as a personal opinion which everyone is entitled to, that's the reason we come on here, to share our own personal experiences we are all different and want different things from our holiday***

Just returned from enjoying 10 days at Nimar Villagio. The rooms are comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. Towels and bedding changed regularly. Beds and pillows provide a good night's sleep. Wish the shower tray was a bit bigger. Pool is inviting and it and its surrounds also kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols/shade if wanted. Yes there is noise from the dual carriageway that runs in front of the hotel, but it is not unbearable. Pleasant music is played around the pool area which provides some compensation for the traffic noise. Being located next to a dual carriageway might sound daunting but it really isn't. It has advantages as there are bus stops either side of the carriageway providing quick and cheap access to Rhodes town, Faliraki and Lindos. The buses run regularly and are cheap. (Considerably cheaper than going by taxi). We had a few evening meals at the Nimar, the food was delicious, generous portions and very reasonably priced, (as were the drinks). Other good places to eat that we tried were Sergio's Italian restaurant in the village, The Old House and George's taverna. The Hidden Garden was also recommended to us, but we never actually got there. These 3 tavernas are close by (turn left as you come out of the Nimar) and walk along the road. The staff and management of the Nimar are lovely. They are so friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Billy for recommending a car hire company to use. It only cost us 100 euros to hire a Fiat 500 for 5 days - very reasonable!!! and pick up and drop off at the Nimar was hassle free. Many thanks to Jed for marking on a map for us places to see and good sandy beaches. His recommendations were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed driving all over the island, enjoying the scenery, culture and history. Also many thanks to Christina who kept our room spotless. Her genuine warmth and welcome when she saw us each morning put a smile on our face for the rest of the day. Would definitely stay at the Nimar again if we return to Rhodes and recommend it to others.

As other reviews have said , the hotel staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious and the pool area is nice. Tui advertise this on their website as : These smart apartments are a haven of peace and quiet. They come with a laid-back pool scene and a beach nearby. These apartments are in a serene, countryside setting just a 15-minute walk from Afandou’s village square and Rhodes’ longest beach. This is laughable and must be embarrassing for Tui, I cannot stress enough that this is situated next to a very busy dual carriageway ( think M25 or brans hatch raceway ) and is extremely noisy all day and all night and into the early hours. You cannot have a restful day by the pool unless you have head phones and you cannot sleep unless you pay the 60 euros for the week aircon. We only spent one day trying to relax by the pool and then got the bus to faliraki and relaxed on the beach there. Be warned

Myself and my sister enjoyed a lovely week in Nimar in September. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you- special mention to Get who had us all in stitches. Previous reviews are accurate- you can be as involved or keep to yourself as you wish - no pressure either way. But do give the quiz a go regardless. The apartments were ideal for what we needed - the shower was the only let down with the shower curtain often soaking the floor but that wouldn't stop me returning. Based in good location to explore Rhodes. Great relaxing pool area and if I'm being really honest I think there was only a handful of times I noticed the road outside whilst lying there.
