We love the Mark Warner concept and would do it again either here or at another resort.

The off-airport parking was reasonably smooth and Enter Air was comfortable enough having bought food and drink at the eerily empty Gatwick before boarding the 4 hour flight. Coaches on arrival didn't take too long to load and it is only 30 minutes transfer from there. The queues to check in were a bit long but that was one of only very few minor irritants.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean, and with the resort being less than half full there was plenty of room in the restaurant and at all the pools and no shortage of sun beds, bicycles, boats, windsurfers, SUPs, tennis courts etc. The hotel staff were great, friendly and helpful. Due to Covid you had to be served at the buffet at breakfast and dinner rather than help yourself so didn't always get exactly what you wanted but there was plenty of choice. Face masks were required indoors in public area but you spent almost all your time outdoors including eating on the terraces.

The Mark Warner staff were great as always. Helpful and friendly. On the waterfront there as a good spread of boat types - lasers, quests, qubas and a variety of cats. Boats were set up for you and staff always on hand with helpful tips. Free group windsurfer and sailing lessons and racing at sunset for those who enjoyed it. Pleasant cycle rides of different lengths for all abilities and a good fleet of Cannondale bikes. Great waterski lesson for our kids (an extra cost but not unreasonable). Social tennis was well set up.

The return to the airport was well organis d with coach lists post d in advance, staggered departures so no queues at the hotel or at the airport checkin.

Overall a really good week, sorry to leave but so glad Rhodes is on the safe corridor travel list with the UK so no need to quarantine for 2 weeks upon return.

Writing this on the beach on the penultimate day of our 2 week long/awaited family holiday to Rhodes.

The flight out from Gatwick was quite full, but everyone had their mask on & Enter Air Crew were pretty relaxed. The transfer was easy (temperature checked by bus driver) and lots of buses, so plenty of space to spread out.

This was the first week the Mark Warner resort was open and the staff were very pleased to see us. The bedrooms were hot, but once the AC got working, very pleasant to sleep in.

The food and beverage staff, with special mention for Mika, the restaurant manager, were exceptional. They worked SO hard and were very obliging. There was no self service, it was all served by the hardworking staff. Really, they needed more staff serving, as sometimes the queues were long. Mika was apologetic that there wasn’t enough staff and they we weren’t getting the service we had paid for. I thought they did an amazing job and it was much appreciated by the guests.

My only niggle really was the sporadic housekeeping. We never knew when they were coming to service the rooms and often days would go by without towels changed, tea replenished, bins emptied etc.

The only option for lunch was the onsite taverna, which was expensive and not very good quality in my opinion and service was very slow.

All in all though, it was a wonderful holiday and we felt welcome and appreciated.

Thank you.

Positives: The flight on Enter Air was really good and it's a very friendly and efficient airline. We had a very comfortable room. The food was really pretty good taking into account all the current restrictions and we soon got the hang of using the self service in the restaurant. Mika and her team work incredibly hard and are to be thoroughly commended for all they do as nothing is too much trouble. We found reception to be extremely helpful too. The swimming pools are all lovely. We know the childcare is wonderful, having brought our grandchilden here last year and we loved watching the little ones having a great time.

Negatives: We know it's not possible to clean the rooms every day but it's only a very small bin where you put the loo paper, not being allowed to flush it away every time you use the loo and after two days it gets very full. I just can't think how families with babies manage with nappy disposal. We found the outside bin near our room was absolutely full of smelly nappies and this was not emptied for days. Mentioned it to reception and it was immediately dealt with but the next day it was again not emptied. My husband is a keen catamaran sailor and we have been here several times. There are still cats from Lakitira which have been here for well over a year and they have not been licensed and can't be used so there was a shortage of cats which was very frustrating not only for him but a lot of the other sailors. Plenty of monohulls but the catamaran situation really needs to be addressed. I never saw any cleaning of the sun loungers round the pools and the adult pool needs a good clean as it does not look as if it has been done for a long time.

All in all it was a fab week and we really enjoyed it but it was just let down by the lack of catamarans and for that reason I am not sure if we will come here again which is a pity as we do love the resort and all the staf who are simply great.

The Mark Warner aspect of this holiday was fantastic. Mark Warner staff were absolutely brilliant, the child care top notch and the activities and water sports tuition excellent.

Unfortunately, this was let down by the management and quality at the hotel. The swimming pools and communal areas were clean and well maintained. While the rooms were nice, the cleaning was very haphazard. Whilst we understood that room cleaning only happened twice a week due to covid (which was perfectly acceptable) this seemed not to be the case and the room seemed to be poorly cleaned/tidied every other day.

The other issue with the hotel was the meals. The staff were very pleasant and worked really hard but unfortunately there were not enough of them. Queues for food were long and we sometimes had to wait ages to get a drink. The cold food - salads, fruits, canapes and breakfasts - were good but the cooked meals were very poor - poor school dinner standard.

Overall the quality of the Mark Warner staff and activities outweighs the poorer half of the hotel provision so I would fully recommend this holiday but prepare to compromise on food.

We’ve only been here a day but I wanted to write a review as I’m sure lots of people are poring over them trying to decide whether to book a trip here in these times.
My advice: do it! The resort is lovely, they’ve kept occupancy low so it doesn’t feel crowded at all, they are making lots of effort to keep everything clean and safe and we feel very comfortable here.

I’ve seen complaints about the rooms and food. We have a suite and it’s really good. Clean, large, 2 balconies, loads of storage, comfy beds.
The food is fine! It’s buffet service: you choose and the staff serve you. It’s not quite 5 star quality but it’s still really good and I think the complaints are unwarranted. I’m vegan and Mika the restaurant manager has been super helpful. Everything is properly labelled (I’ve never found this before in any other hotel buffets). They have vegan cheese and the chef is going to make me my own dishes daily.
The big pool is lovely but quite chilly, it warms up during the day though.
The children are loving kids club, we saw them at the pool and the staff were incredible, so enthusiastic and everyone was having a fab time. Our 2 year old needs one to one support and Emily and Alicia have been really professional about this and made me feel comfortable that I’m leaving her in safe hands.
The flight from Gatwick was great, both airports were really quiet and it was a much better journey than Pre Covid! There were plenty of empty seats on the plane so families were spread out. Just make sure you get a QR code over 24 hours before.
We’re so glad we came, feeling much better off, not to mention safer than we would be on a packed beach in Brighton. We’re so grateful to be here, so are the staff and it shows in their positivity and enthusiasm.
Thanks so much Mark Warner!

The first thing to say is congratulations to Mark Warner for running a good holiday resort in the year when other tour operators, such as Neilson, cancelled all their operations for Covid reasons. We were one of a number of guests who had their Neilson booking cancelled and had switched to Mark Warner. Some of us will seriously consider Mark Warner over Neilson again.

As others have commented nothing is perfect, and there were a few irritating deficiencies. The best thing that can be said about the food, for example, is that there was plenty of it. The Greek government restrictions on buffet service mean that the staff have to do everything for you; this takes time, there is a lot of queueing, and the food is never hot when it reaches your plate. And it’s very samey. Others have commented on the awful pillows, and the bins in the rooms being tiny and only rarely emptied.

But overall it was great. The staff (both Mark Warner expats and local) were incredibly helpful and friendly. The water sports generally well equipped. Sailing was very good. It’s not a great place for windsurfing as the wind isn’t clean, but you can blast when the local Meltemi wind blows, and the staff will pick you up when you suddenly realise you are half way to Turkey in a big offshore wind and knackered. Kayaking good, SUP OK (sea quite choppy). The cycling team are excellent, even if it’s a place for road biking and not mountain biking (no trails nearby). Yoga, boot camp, water aerobics all excellent; no zumba. Didn’t try the tennis.

Huge bedrooms, fully equipped including fridge, kettle and a/c. Five swimming pools, including one for adults only and one for kids only. Umbrellas on the beach. Crystal clear sea water. Bar not overpriced. Shop in hotel selling basics (including beer at half the price of the hotel bar) and a supermarket over the road. Car rental (good), excursions (didn’t use) and water skiing (didn’t use) all available at a price in the resort.

Rhodes is a beautiful island with centuries of history and culture and we managed to get out and about quite a bit. Lindos is picture-book perfect, with a well preserved acropolis, and Rhodes Town is stunning. There’s a good museum of archaeology and an extraordinarily ugly palace built by the Italians when they occupied Rhodes, for Mussolini (who never visited it). Also a ruined Graeco-Roman city at Kamiros.

The local tourist industry is suffering badly from Covid and many hotels and restaurants are closed, which is sad to see. But there are four or five beaches within a short distance of the resort easily reached by bike or taxi, with open tavernas and beach bars.

Overall this was a very well run resort and we had a great time, for which we are very grateful in a year when most people haven’t managed a foreign holiday.

We planned our escape from the UKs coronavirus madness to this safe haven in the sun. Flight and transfer felt safe, with the airport were testing random guests on arrival. With a 7 day new infection rate of just 3 in 100,000, the island had only 1% of the infection rate at home, so felt like a great opportunity to grab some Autumn sunshine in a safe environment, after a tough year at home.

Masks needed to be worn inside the hotel, but that was literally just for food selection and visits to reception. In order to meet Greek laws to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, the buffet meals were adapted so you were no longer able to serve yourself at the buffet, but were served by the staff at a distance. This added less than 30 seconds to selecting your meals, which wasn't a problem and didn't create any mentionable queues. All the staff worked tirelessly and you could see they all appreciated your presence in resort. Mika the restaurant manager runs a great team, and is as involved as anyone else - see photo of the Greek Salad she makes for breakfast! The food is of a good standard, with plenty of local specialities and there's always fresh fish and rotisserie cooked meats.

The resort is well spread out, with 5 different swimmings pools, so it never felt too busy or over crowded and there was never any problems finding a place around the pool or on the each. The accommodation is to a high standard, with large spacious rooms, and good housekeeping.

The MW team were as helpful, friendly and enthusiastic as ever. You can't go wrong with 7 tennis courts and a great coach in Lauren. We particularly enjoyed the social tennis each evening, where you play against guests of a similar ability. Curtis heads up the energetic cycling team, covering some fantastic road cycling across the island and back. The bikes are high spec, mostly carbon and very well maintained.

The childcare teams were excellent as ever and both our children loved both the MW nannies and the activities such as sailing, kayaking, tennis and swimming. Evening childcare meant that we were able to have a few hours sans kids to enjoy great food on the outdoor terrace.

Overall, this is a great resort and exceptionally well run by Rich and his team. This was our 5th visit to resort in 5 years, and won't be the last.

Enter air flights fine, although a little cramped. Plane full with most seats occupied. We booked Levante for the sailing which is excellent. Take beach shoes as the beach is stony, but lovely for swimming. The resort is miles from anywhere although you can catch a bus or hire a car to get around. Some information about the resort and surrounding area would be helpful. Two small supermarkets one inside hotel one outside the entrance selling a small selection of holiday stuff, snacks and drinks.
Extremely long queues for food (I counted 20 people queing tonight) without social distancing. (Covid risk) Staff wear masks but only a few guests wear them. Hand sanitiser often empty. Salads good but hot food variable. Lots of meat but for vegetarians mostly aubergine based. I didn't go hungry but the food was mediocre. Not enough serving staff and although they work very hard, long waits for everything.
Plastic beakers one morning for orange juice. Absolutely appalling undrinkable coffee.Take your own.
Neilson provide reusable glass bottles of water with food, but such a lot of plastic waste here as you need to buy water at mealtimes.
Sun loungers old and uncomfortable and parasols frayed; the resort looks tired.
Housekeeping variable, we waited three days for a clothes drier. Asked for two pillows and got one. Some used plates and cutlery left outside room doors for long periods.
Superb sailing, the staff were friendly and professional.
Very hardworking friendly Greek hotel staff, although reception staff arent too knowledgeable.
We enjoyed our stay in Rhodes, but would think twice before going back to Levante.

Just back from our october 1/2 term breake at Levante with Neilson. This was our third Neilson beach club holiday and we had a great week. An important consideration for us was the wheelchair accessibility of the resort for my daughter, which was great. The resort itself is flat with smooth concrete paths everywhere and gently sloping ramps. We had an 'accessible room' on the ground floor of the main hotel block. Apart from it's location there were no specific adaptions to the room. A couple of hand rails in the bathroom and a foldiong seat in the shower would have been a huge help.
Apart from that the room was a decent size, great shower and good wifi all around the hotel inside aand out. A real asset if you have teenagers.

The restaurant was great and had a very wide selection of food on offer at all meal times. 4 inclusive eveing meals can be taken on any night. There are a few nice restaurants within a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride.

We hired a car for a couple of days, it was inexpensive and enabled us to visit Rhodes old town and Lindos- Highly recommended.

My younger daughter thoroughtly enjoyed the teen club and made some great friends during the week whilst enjoying a large array of the different activities.

There are 6 tennis courts and 2 padel courts and I had a great week's tennis coaching with a big shout out to Angus and Dan.

The beach team were also great with the usual array of kit and tuiton ofr everrthing on the water from wake boarding , sailing SUpping and Wing

I didn't use any of the bikes but a few friends there did and had nothing negative to say about the bkie department

If you fancy papmering in the spa then unfortunately you will be disappointed. It felt more like a dungeon than a spa and to access any of the facitities (tiny sauna, the not very steamy steam room and the small hot tub) you have to book at a cost of 10 euro a hour. The spa at Alana in greece is 100 times better and free to access.

The resort is absolutely huge and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It is shared with another Scandinavian operator, Apollo but never felt crowded or busy. There's loads of space to chill out by the pool or on the beach. Hoverver it did lack that Neilson 'family' feel of staff and guests socialising in the evenings due to the wishes of the resort owners. Even the legendary 'Booze and Balls' was toned down to 'Sips and Hits'

All in all we had a great week, the weather was fantastic and we would go again in a few years. One big gripe is the timings of the flights. Most returning flights left late evening , landing in the early hours of saturday morning. Not ideal for onward travel with tired kids after a full on week away.

Things are of course different this year and covid restrictions perhaps took a little bit of the sparkle away but the Mark Warner staff at resort went out of their way to create a great experience. My son loved the teen group and my husband made full use of the bikes. The pools are lovely and the waterfront experience was good. My son ended up with one to one sailing coaching for the price of a group lesson, which was a result of the MW operating the holidays at a lower capacity! I had a massage and the quality of the experience was excellent, much better than the low standard often offered in Europe.
Many other reviewers have commented on their disappointment at the food offering. The evening meal is a bit "samey" and a little canteen like but there was some nice food to be had, particularly the salads and from the grill. Breakfast I thought was good. Yes there were some queues at times but there was a good breakfast choice, particularly of fruit. My favourite hotel meal was lunch (we were on full board) as this is prepared to order.
Overall we feel blessed to have been able to enjoy the MW experience in the Rhodes sunshine!

No. I think you are just booking with the hotel at that point. That would be a mistake. You have to go onto the mw website or call and book direct. I know it's more money, but if you want to sail and use the tennis then ' pay up and look big' as my grandfather used to say.

No because it’s a BA chartered flight. You have to go to the desk at the airport and they will print your boarding passes for you.
