Travellers' Choice
The hotel "Bell Rock" with 225 rooms and suites takes the adventurous holiday-makers on a trip back to the New-England of the 18th century. Three restaurants will please the palates of the seafarers: "Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant", "Harborside" the buffet restaurant and "Captain's Finest" the a la carte restaurant. Splashy adventures await all the sailors at the pool area with inner and outer pool and a water playground. A park with maritime landscape highlights the seafarer-flair. The Europa-Park entrance tickets can be obtained at the hotel reception. In the summer season guests have the possibility to enjoy certain attractions of Europa-Park half an hour (in the winter season one hour) before the park officially opens.

We had a wonderful time at this first-class hotel. The staff on the check-in desk were brilliant, very helpful, friendly and professional. Lovely buildings, very nice room with super comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Very nice swimming pool, even with an indoor section, and towels and bath robes were provided. A swim after a day in the theme park was very welcome! The breakfast was first-class with a fantastic choice and the staff were excellent. Had a meal at the Captain's Finest which we will review separately- in short the best meal we have ever had in a theme park hotel. Plenty of parking, a nice shop and a great looking bar which unfortunately we did not have time to visit. We really didn't want to leave and were we to revisit Europa Park we would book this first-class hotel without hesitation- well done!!!

Now that our teens no longer fit in the Europa-Park family room bunk-beds (alas!), we were happy to find that Bell Rock hotel offers a few rooms that sleep four people, two per bed, in a large sunny room overlooking the terrace and water-show. With meticulous attention to Covid prevention, the level of service at this hotel is really excellent. Well worth the extra to stay in 5-star luxury and really make a holiday of your Europa-Park visit.

Stayed for 5 nights as part of a Europa Park / Rulantica visit in a Deluxe Room. Rooms were large & tidy and despite being a relatively large hotel, everything felt 'within reach'. Certainly a cut above equivalent rooms at other European theme park resorts. The included breakfast was busy at times (though to be expected, considering the changes they'd made due to Covid-19) but tasty and at the expected level. Hotel bar was great, with reasonably priced & well made drinks. Very generous portion sizes on the bar food as well. Very short walk to the theme park through beautifully kept grounds. Buses to Rulantica were regular throughout the day. An end note - despite being part of the 5% of visitors not arriving from Germany / France / Switzerland - it didn't show. The vast majority of staff were comfortably multi-lingual and very patient with our ham-fisted attempts at using the German language! Made to feel very welcome by all staff throughout our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

The Bell Rock is a beautiful New England style hotel next to Europa Park. The hotel is nicely decorated which clean rooms and great restaurants and a lovely bar. It’s a convenient walking distance from the park and hotel guests can access the park 30’ before the general public. A disappointing aspect to was that we had booked 4 double rooms including breakfast and the couple with child in our group (who had the most expensive room) were charged 6€ for a baby cot that wasn’t even in the room!!! This is not ok - especially for a hotel that caters to families. Two of our group were celiac - a fact we had informed the hotel of on several occasions. While the restaurant offered gluten free options for dinner, at breakfast there were NO gluten free bread options (“Ist heute aus”) This is unacceptable for a 4 star superior hotel - especially when they were told several times that people suffering from celiac disease were going to board at the hotel. When we informed the guest services of this, she just smiled and said “I’ll pass it on” - didn’t take a name or anything. we had to make her write down our names and request which really isn’t correct client servicing - especially when it pertains to issues dealing with customer health. A large hotel of a superior category should take care to better cater to the needs of their clients - especially when they are being informed of it beforehand. The hotel is a lovely property and does many things right - which is why it’s shame it falls so short in client services.

I have visited the Spirit of St. Louis a couple times with friends, lovely cocktails, wide range of drinks and very froendly service. A special mention to Gyula, very friendly, kind and professiona,l it’s always a pleasure to have him as a waiter. Prices are very fair for the location, the drinks and the overall service. Absolutely recommend!
